Pay as you play.

Happens, if at all, with blokes pushing 40 sticking around to play for tinpot clubs.

Stengs is a 26 year old Dutch international, a former Next-Big-Thing, who put up his best ever numbers last time he played a 'full' season uninjured.

He's going somewhere on a solid contract with a decent wage.

The guy is an injury prone excuse of a player who the Sainted Nige wouldn’t have let near the place. An absolute joke of a signing I imagine we might make. Hope I’m wrong.

If he was about to move to Charlotte FC at the age of 25 then he's already checked out on his career

You’re all absolutely right, we should also dispose of Ricardo, Alves and anyone else who has had a knee injury. There’s ZERO possibility they’ll play a good game again.

Last year was a shocker for him granted. But I’m not going to call someone who misses 6 games a season injury prone and I’m not going to judge him on an ACL as a teenager!

Been told this is agent shenanigans. If that’s true or not I don’t know, but I think the AM we want is Rego.

Maybe this suits us to try and force through the Rego deal

To get Celtic/Charlotte FC to pay up or give a better contract?

Which i would usually understand but maybe you would pick a club that DIDN'T have connections to both Charlotte AND Celtic to do that?

You have to imagine that both Smith and Rodgers could find out if our interest was genuine or not with a single phone call...

You can always trust the local in the corner of the pub, who’s five pints deep for valid information!

The @PisaSC is closer to Calvin Stengs: the player has opened up to the destination. Tomorrow new contact with @Feyenoord

someone of his age and ability would probably come to charlotte for  12 months to get guaranteed games,  get a full season under his belt and get himself back in the shop window. Because of the extreme weather, there’s also a lot of artificial pitches   So much less slide tackling and less going to ground so  as unacceptable as we would find that, it’s probably a good  environment to strengthen  the tendons in knees and ankles to get back to full strength.

His best trait is how good he is at through balls, so what would be the point in signing him.

cba watching ayew run through treacle or daka getting through every game to shank one into the stands

Why though?

To push along the preferred club to close out the deal, happens a lot, clubs get linked by agents to speed up transfers or drum up interest, it can even happen as favours for involvement in other deals.

it could be that Stengs representatives are helping us to shift out some of our deadwood by using their contacts abroad or we have an interest in one of their other players and as a result we agreed to leak our interest to force Pisa’s hand.
