Our best 90 minute performance since the last time we were in the Championship.

 

I’m not saying we were good mind, just so, so much better than every other game this season and last.

 

Soumare, Ayew, Vestergaard, Ricardo all very good, though there’s no doubt who’ll get the plaudits

 

oh, and Don Goodman lost all & any remaining credibility as a commentator with his ludicrous red card claim v Ricardo!

Three wins out of four with an apparently unsettled and unhappy squad. Two consecutive clean sheets. Not much quality but a hell of a lot of guts and resilience. We should be happy about these things.

 

But my word we desperately need to recruit some quality players before the window shuts. A massive few days ahead.

A comfortable win whilst playing pretty shit against the media darlings. Don't think anyone played particularly poorly but we just don't have any attacking patterns of play. Don't blame Cifuentes for that either 

 

We could genuinely go up playing like this potentially purely based on how crap the standard is

 

Nice to start the weekend in the right manner

Soumare and Vestegaard yes, Ricardo was hardly involved besides the goal and one horror tackle, Ayew was awful as per. Offers nothing as the CF.

We utterly dominated that…

 

 

ok not really. But defensively that was a great performance and every player worked for eachother, for us and for the club. We haven’t seen that for a while so thank you and well done to Marti. He’s created that. 

 

It does worry me that a promoted side just dominated the game so much though. We do need to get a grip in midfield. Ironically, I thought both Skipp and Soumare were great tonight. But I don’t see them being a partnership that will control games. I think winks has to play - although he’s a *****. 
 

Did anyone else notice all the subs come on post game? Begovic, S. Thomas and Ben Nelson. I even saw Decordova-Reid. But I tell you who we didn’t see….Harry Winks. He clearly wants out.

Not pretty but overall the performance was alright down to how we set up 

We look a million miles more organised at the back, we kept our shape brilliant all night 

He gets pelters on here but I thought Vesty was outstanding, solid defensively and sprayed some outrageous passes 

Best soumare has played in a long time, all it takes is a midfielder alongside him who makes things happen and it could be a cracking partnership, although Skipp was actually ok tonight 

We've all got an opinion which makes the sport great, however I dont get the Luke Thomas bashing from a post I read earlier, thought he was solid all game and has been so far this season 

Always nice to win on a friday night, makes the weekend that much sweeter
