Shite.

Do feel Marti is now starting to get away with it.

I do want to give him time but he's doing odd things. Why can't he see Ayew can't be a striker, we have nothing going forward when he's there. He also shouldn't be taking free kicks and corners, they're wank.

The way he's clearly set the full backs up is painful too. Ricardo will do an underlap now and then but Thomas absolutely nothing. It leaves Mavididi basically against two men all the time. What's wrong with full backs going past their opponent and drilling it into the box?

The horseshoe football we're playing also is so frustrating. Pass round the edge of the box to the wing back to middle back to other wing repeat in a horseshoe formation. Some of that links to having no proper striker on the pitch...we just have no presence in the box

We've had what I'd say is a 7/10 max start to the season points wise but it does feel like we have the shackles on mostly at times.

Very worrying how we just don't seem to test the keepers at all. We're so timid up top.

Beat Wrexham and then I'll probably be happy again though! 😂

This is where JJ was really effective first half as he was picking up those inside channels that Ndidi used to run under Maresca.

The negativity at half time was an over reaction I felt. Obviously, the defending was poor for the goal, but generally we had some very good passages of play. The one touch, bounce passing, through midfield was very good. Next steps are to get midfield runners behind more to stretch the opposition.

Decent result. Decent season so far. Reaction on here insane. Pretty standard fan hyperbole. I hate most of you. I hate myself. Life gets increasingly pointless. Really feel like I’ve aged this year. I read somewhere that at 44 you age more quickly than any other time and seems to be true so far. Just don’t feel myself. Conscious of my own mortality more than ever. The wider world as well, christ, can’t remember it feeling this perilous. Anyone else just feel like the warm, reassuring embrace of the void feels appealing?

Anyway aye, decent result against a good team and on we go.

Since losing 4-2 to Arsenal on the 28th September 2024 we have scored 1 goal or fewer in 29 games.

But not only are we ****ing boring to watch, we have a squad full of complete dickheads that don't deserve any support whatsoever.

A full drain of the swamp was needed and we didn't even get close. I honestly despise this Leicester squad. The culture here is horrendous.

FM tough words but difficult to argue against

Thought we were much the better side first half, with a collective brain fart giving them a chance which was taken well. Not sure what was worse, 3 players getting drawn out of position for the flick on or Faes deciding he fancied a nap.

Second half was poor, but we found a way. It's not a bad point at all- it would feel like that were more the case if we'd beaten Oxford or Coventry. Beat Wrexham and you'd say it's a solid start.

Nobody is going to run away with it this year, just got to keen grinding out points when you're up against it and we'll be up there. Living in hope that things start to click in the final third over the next few games.

To me, this game proves we're a championship side now. We say have poor this league is, but we have struggled.

West Brom are a good side in this league, but not the best and we looked like equals.

One of the biggest frustrations is we should be winning these games.

The last two games Marti has made decisions that have cost us the three points.

The goal conceded aside (which is obviously out of his hands)…. The selection decisions are becoming puzzling.

Marti even said he sees James as an 8, yet, continues to play Soumare….. why? He brings nothing to the team other than a physical presence, and even that is wasted on him.

Ayew continues to stunt our attack, we can’t fall into the trap of his effort means quality, it doesn’t……. His endless scrapping for the ball instead of passing it, his reluctance in general to pass a football, his lack of ability to run in behind, his consistent running down blind alley…….. and his zero goal threat to boot.

But I fear the more get gets out of jail with late goals and defeats turned into losses, the more he will continue to play Ayew and Soumare.

Strange one. An advertisement for and against both older pro’s and youth. We feel uncertain and certainly impotent in attacking areas, perhaps unimaginative.

I'm hoping next game we play JJ and Winks at 6 and 8 and Ramsey comes back in as 10 and we might see a bit of a difference in penetrating the final third as West Brom kept us out of the penalty area extremely proficiently forcing shots and crosses from the wings, nullifying any central goal threat.

Ramsey still suspended for the next game.

We have been a Championship team for some time. That's why we had such a rotten season last year.

The team and back office both need a major rebuild before we get back to the Premiership. We have some distance to go, and aren't going to attract the right sort of player until the points deduction etc is sorted.

I am enjoying the games being more even, no VAR, and seeing some of the youngsters come through.

I don't anticipate promotion for a few years, so am just enjoying it. I like Marti's style of football, though some work needed on the finishing.

Ah, I thought he'd missed two now and would be back but forgot a straight red is 3 - thanks.

Also, can anyone actually explain what made West Brom look good? I thought they were awful.

They were awful but created 4 massive chances and converted one.

We didn't create anything that worried their keeper until the the 93rd minute and even then it wasn't going in.

The quality of the league is massively papering over the cracks of a very poor start to the season.

Not sure we have managed a quality 45 mins yet.

Looked OK between both boxes but were quite poor defensively and didn't look like scoring. They are showing some fight under this manager which is a positive, but goals are gonna be tough to come by. It's so easy for opposition teams to stay compact when Ayew is dropping deep all the time. Daka is obviously useless, but he does at least stretch defences in behind to create space for others so I'd maybe give him a start for a couple of games.

Despite any showing of real quality I quite liked the fact that Caranza has a bit of a bastard in him. I think we need that providing he doesn't get carded every game and at some point begins to find the net and not fall over every time he feels a shirt pull.
