Have they forgot we need as many points as possible due to the points deduction coming our way. Or maybe they don’t give a toss!!!😕😡😠

I like Cifuentes off the pitch but it’s now clear he’s a dogmatic 2010’s old hat manager. It’s like Puel at lower bar with a relatively stronger squad - if he doesn’t go back to the drawing board soon he serves the sack

We’ll have Big Ange by December, don’t worry.

I simply cannot support Wout Faes and I am utterly sick of watching him ponce about in a Leicester shirt.

If he did his ACL in training tomorrow it would make my day.

@hfaes Tell him for me.

Apparently the big screens froze on 86 minutes and then went off! No atmosphere, no cheery post match music and no clappers (so not all bad then).

All of the above is correct. Lot of empty seats tonight!

If lads like Louie Page, Ben Nelson, Monga, Alves, Aluko were putting in these performances then I’d be a little more positive about the whole situation ‘Young lads getting minutes, learning the game’

It’s the fact that it’s these players, the same players that have been culpable for 2 relegations in 3 season, these players on ridiculous money ( not their fault) these players that I can’t relate to as a fan in the stands, can’t support and can’t wait to move on!

‘A fantastic academy’

Use it Marti!

Very much a game of two halves. I think that was the best starting 11 we could have fielded, with Daka and Ayew just back, and in any case we have to try Carranza at some point as a starter.

The first half was as good as I have seen this season, not least because Pompey were giving us time on the ball and standing off Fatawu in particular.

The second half was chalk and cheese, as bad as I have seen this season. Clearly Pompey changed gears at half time. They pressed us much harder and dominated the midfield and we didn't really have a counter plan. We needed a bit more bite in midfield and Ayew to hold the ball up. Instead we let them get a breakaway goal and it could have been a loss.

Once again poor finishing let us down in both halves though Fatawu's cross for Ramsey's goal was a beauty. So frustrating as we should have put that game away first half.

But some perspective is needed. We are 4th in the League after 10 games and that is far better than I expected after the horror show of a summer window. We are drawing rather than losing games and it would only have taken slightly better finishing to have made those 5 wins. If we can be there or thereabouts in January then a couple of signings could make us a promotion side.

Is it better than expected? We ended the summer with basically the same team as last time.

What did you expect?

Dont say 5th :D

We had enough chances to put the game to bed but we are just not clinical enough.

Always knew they would get one chance and that's more or less what they had( apart from the crossbar shot).

We have one chance with the team selection starting line up to get a couple in front which is what we need because once our subs come on we look like a bottom 6 side.

James and Ramsey look decent.

Same old mistakes by the usual suspects( and I dont mean muslims, although Hamza was his usual dim self!

Night all..👍🏾

Can’t blame the manager too much. We started the second half terribly but he tried to make early changes to resolve it. The real problem is the players he had to choose from off the bench…and that’s not on him.

Most of the heat should be on the players and the board.

But the bench is on him Ricey

totally on him

Good day for us Pompey  great bunch of fans Leicester.

2nd half we wanted it more.

We don't have your money or quality but we have a manager who brings out the best .

Remember out 4 first teamers aemre out injured.

Murphy, lang, shaughnessy, schmidt.

We worked hard for that point hit crossbar missed a sitter

Good luck for the season

Our top 3 scorers last time we went up were Vardy (18 Championship goals), KDH (12) and Mavididi (12).

Vardy and KDH have gone and Mavididi has been injured and/or out of form. We’ll be lucky if we get 18 goals combined from our strikers. We might get 10 from James, maybe 12 from Fatawu. But ultimately without a proper striker who will score 15-20 goals we will not win enough games to get the 88+ points that would likely get us top 2.

The play offs beckon, at best.

Comfortably the worst team I’ve seen down the KP for a long time. Horrible club.

Played some good stuff 1st half. 2nd half Portsmouth put them under pressure alot more and we got unsettled. Lack of a goal scorer let us down again. Story of the season so far.

Amazes me he continues to play the failing Faes / Vestergaard partnership. Thomas also terrible and the lack of striking options is criminal.

We all know the problems so why is it not blatant to a professional football manager.

No Vardy or El Kannous so significantly worse than the previous season.

This is an excellent take, especially the Puel reference. I was wondering what the football reminded me of lol

The thing is we actually needed a Puel type to come in, find the odd diamond (James and Ramsey) and develop some younger players. The difference with Marti might be that he flukes us up through the play offs. Problem is i'd say we're in that situation where you have to roll the dice.... like Leeds should have, and leave him in the Championship.
