Genuine question, does anyone else watch us play nowadays and literally think to themselves “why do I bother?”

For me football has become so monotonously boring that I’d say it’s in the same category as watching Emmerdale, or maybe Love Island.

I think today was a perfect example of that, but this season I think most of the games have also been example of that.

I’ve been a season ticket holder for 25 years.

Why do we still bother? Aside from the fact I’m somehow apparently meant to feel very strong and passionate emotions about this lacklustre, boring, repetitive game?

For me it’s akin to alcoholism. I know it’s really not good for me anymore, but I still do it. Then I feel sh1t afterwards and say I’m not going to do it again before doing exactly the same thing

It just feels like an unhealthy addiction right now

I think we're aiming for play-offs, that's where we're at, we are nowhere near the quality of the maresca team. Ndidi, Vardy, JJ, very good players we're missing, and the teams we played back then didnt seem half as comptetive. I hope we can dip into the transfer market in Jan, i have a feeling that Carranza deal was a waste of time

Fatawu was very poor. Very predictable and over hit majority of his crosses.

Why did nobody cotton on that so many crosses were being overhit that not one of them hung back to get on the end of them.  How many chances were lost through overhit crosses. These are professional footballers ffs.

I ask as that was more or less the starting eleven I’d have gone for

Me too. I thought it was the best line-up we had, although seeing Carranza tonight, I would not start him again.

I just don't think Marti has given this team a clear identity yet. The players look a bit lost and clueless under him so far.

I suspected we would need a really strong Manager to come in and take this squad and league by the scruff of its neck, and Marti just isn't that. He seems passive, and that is how we look when we play - Not enough fight, not enough intensity and certainly not much of a plan or style either.

It really isn’t that bad. I’d sooner be back in Division 1 with Nigel than have Rodger’s here. Don’t think I’ve ever despised any Leicester manager more!

It’s not about the manager - it’s about the ****ing sheer quality we had during that period.

I sincerely hope we spend some of that ( alleged) dodgy BC GAME  money  in January on a new striker and LB.  Thomas is a tryer, but he’s limited. Carranza hasn’t inspired me at all and he had an opportunity today and was found wanting.

Also gonna say I HATE Luke Thomas. Couldn't give a shit hes an academy grad. Horrible defender, even worse footballer and not gained an ounce of muscle since he got promoted. Been leeching round the squad for years and hasn't improved...

What was that second half? Battered them first half and should’ve been out of sight. Couldn’t pass the ball, couldn’t clear it couldn’t build any momentum. It’s Wrexham all over again.

Fatawu and Monga absolute turd throughout. None of them any good second half. Was it a foul on Carranza outside the box which lead to their breakaway?

So frustrating that we can have a first half like that and then produce a second half that we did.

We’re just not dangerous enough. It’s early days, but Coventry are putting the dross away.

We let them back in and almost look like losing when they equalise.

That was almost a copy of Wrexham.

I'm okay with him for a squad player to come in now and then but I agree as a first choice left back he doesn't offer anywhere near enough.

That said if he bags that chance at the end, his thread would be debating giving him the freedom of Leicester.

Not disagreeing, And yet it was our most experienced player Ricardo, who was at fault for the Goal. Ricardo chasing forward vacating his Fullback duties when we were winning the game.

Thomas also should have shown the scorer wide instead of letting him cut back inside to score.

Same bullshit, we just had a handful of (wasted) top class players who occasionally turned games on their own.

I guess we win that game with a Maddison, a Tielemans, a Barnes, a Vardy. We got relegated with all of 'em. Unforgivable mismanagement.

Whilst the bench didn't look great, it wasn't the subs that let Portsmouth back into the game.

Very much a game of two halves. I think that was the best starting 11 we could have fielded, with Daka and Ayew just back, and in any case we have to try Carranza at some point as a starter.

The first half was as good as I have seen this season, not least because Pompey were giving us time on the ball and standing off Fatawu in particular.

The second half was chalk and cheese, as bad as I have seen this season. Clearly Pompey changed gears at half time. They pressed us much harder and dominated the midfield and we didn't really have a counter plan. We needed a bit more bite in midfield and Ayew to hold the ball up. Instead we let them get a breakaway goal and it could have been a loss.

Once again poor finishing let us down in both halves though Fatawu's cross for Ramsey's goal was a beauty. So frustrating as we should have put that game away first half.

But some perspective is needed. We are 4th in the League after 10 games and that is far better than I expected after the horror show of a summer window. We are drawing rather than losing games and it would only have taken slightly better finishing to have made those 5 wins. If we can be there or thereabouts in January then a couple of signings could make us a promotion side.

I had enough last season of queuing up to get down the gangway steps whilst watching the away fans and team celebrating after yet another home defeat. Then walking up Raw Dykes Road surrounded by happy, singing, jubilant opposition supporters. This season hasn't changed. Glad that I didnt go tonight. Had a belly full. Apologies to whoever bought my ticket. Grim.

For me it was Faes and Thomas who I hold the blame for. LT was horrible at the last home game I was at too against Wrexham. Their wingback had him on toast that day!

I like Cifuentes off the pitch but it’s now clear he’s a dogmatic 2010’s old hat manager. It’s like Puel at lower bar with a relatively stronger squad - if he doesn’t go back to the drawing board soon he serves the sack

Hate is a horrible word. Maybe blame the the Manager that picks him, the hierarchy that gives him a new lengthy contract & the Club that is rudderless.
