Who you would suggest ?

If we can take someone upwards from a job and buy them out, then Dave Challinor would be possible.

Failing that, Ralph Hassenuttl played a style that the fans here seem to want, id said in another thread i felt Mike Phelan would be a good fit for the club.

Its not like no one can do the job

But remember who is going to be appointing the next manager.

Well yeah thats also true, their track record is rubbish and they probably want to save face by not sacking a manager after a few months.

For all we know theyre probably happy with Marti anyway :(

24 hours on, it's kinda hard to fathom what on earth the manager is doing / is trying to do. Things become even more confusing as the dust settles, just when you'd expect a little more clarity..

Trying to avoid repeating points that we all already know, but I find particularly baffling

1. Our best performance was Swansea away. And most of us agreed that Daka leading the line worked (to an extent and when compared to what we'd seen before and seen since). Yet he was dropped

2. The manager's seeming preference for physically weak and slow players. Thomas, Carranza, Bob Reid all painfully weak and painfully slow with no pay off on terms of talent. If you're a manager with a dearth of  talent and a dearth of pace,.go for fcking muscle/size

When we draw the Norwich match........which i expectcan't us to do......Hopefully! There will still be no comunition from the club about what is happening to get us going on a upward path.......This is down to the board rather than the poor bloke who has to get this shit show of a team trying to play football!........Fed up with swapping managers...... There's a common demonitrer.....The players.

We've tried Cooper,RVN and now Marti.......but Marti needs to fire some rockets up some arses and if he can't, get someone in who can!........To be honest i wouldn't be adverse to Darren Ferguson at this point!........but then posh are my other team!

I dont agree with this.

Im not saying there isnt boardroom level problems, but that doesnt grant crap managers a free pass to do a rubbish job.

By championship standards theres still plenty of talent here to be doing a LOT better.

Of course not but if you cast your mind back to when we were relegated to League One, the chopping and changing of managers notably contributed to what happened that season. A bit of stability, however crap, would be preferable to that? Regardless of what division we’re in or the alleged talent, we have more than a handful of mercenaries that don’t want to be here and are making no secret of it going off their performances on the pitch. Not sure any manager (one that we could afford or would want to come here anyway) could change that attitude, player power has been allowed to run riot since Aiyawatt took over - that won’t change. The DoF (and their agents, although why would they with horrific wages some of them are on) should be be binning them off asap but we all know how incompetent he is and they’ll all be trotting off on a free within the next couple of years, it’s a ****ing mess!

There’s some similarities with Puel, although Claude did better than Marti in the early games. We had a far better squad then and were  in the prem..

When the post match comments start repeating in Claude’s case “ability, flexibility, stability” things started going badly. With Marti it’s “Players are training really well” “, “We’re focussed” “We must improve”  i.e the bleeding obvious, players are elsewhere, not listening or caring as mush as us lot.

How on earth has he survived the utter garbage we watched on Tuesday - we really are pathetic at getting rid of terrible managers - doing my head in

Hate this attitude with a passion.

The reason why big clubs are big clubs is because they built on their success. They used one trophy or title as a foundation and continued to develop.

We had started to do that. Top half finishes, squad being made stronger by selling one big name and buying 3 ambitious ones, not looking behind us or settling for 40 points. For the best part of a decade until this current disinterested, weak owner made poor business decisions backed by his inexperienced yes man DOF, we were establishing our brand and our club as a top flight fixture.

The thought that we've always been a small club is - frankly - bullshit. Forest Green, Bromsgrove, Northampton, etc etc are small clubs. We're a single city club, the tenth largest city with a larger population than most of our rivals. Aside from the late 80s and a yoyo patch in 70s we've had long spells in the top division. This is not our level. Nor should we settle for it because we've been here before. Half that current Premier League - Bournemouth, Fulham, Brighton, Brentford, Wolves, even our mates up the A46 have had long spells in the Championship and lower. Do you think they'll settle for this downward spiral? Or accept their level isnt what theyve built now?

Absolute loser mentality that will help keep us here and not demand our management do better.

Spot on

I’m confident this will have been posted and is probably a poster on here but just in case, I found it excellent. Also wasn’t sure where to put it, remove if duplicated.

Don’t think it’s needs breaking down that deep to understand he is out of his depth.

1 win 10.

Long periods without winning, 4 game streak and now 5

Players getting worse.

Don’t create.

Can’t score.

8 games without a clean sheet.

Getting beat by teams at home or poorer runs of form.

He gives me Dean Smith vibes but when he was in the premiership.
I’m not blaming Smith for our relegation but was he charge of 8 or 9 games and we managed 2 wins the last game of the season and his second game.
Cifuentes imo is the championship equivalent.
We won’t win enough games with him in charge.
We could go Norwich and win but then go 4 or 5 games without getting another win.
