Popular Post Dan Posted 10 December 2025 Popular Post Posted 10 December 2025 He seems to have finally started making the right moves in terms of freezing people out but the limitations are already so far exposed that you just can't build a proper case for him. The biggest worry for me is a new bloke would give a fresh start to players who simply shouldn't get one. That second half was an embarrassment and the warning signs were there at the weekend. We could've thrown Derby away if we'd been unlucky - we play with fire when we simply don't need to. 0-2 up at half time and Bristol City players looked pretty gutted at full time to have drawn. Absolute joke of a half. We set up like a National League side. 5 1
Chico1958 Posted 10 December 2025 Posted 10 December 2025 Rodgers Smith Enzo Cooper Ruud Marti Every season the same thing who evers in charge. Sack the Manager. He's not going anywhere soon, we can't afford to sack and we're looking at a points deduction. Let's just get the season out of the way and see where we are at the end of it. 2
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 10 December 2025 Posted 10 December 2025 The fact he didn't intervene and tell our dim witted keeper to stop launching it to their centre half Every time, says it all to me. He's out of his depth and is neither a good tactian or motivator. Would lose nothing if he's gone in the morning. As to me I simply dont see what he adds. 1
Popular Post Gamble92 Posted 10 December 2025 Popular Post Posted 10 December 2025 For him to say they spoke about getting a 3rd, there is either a massive disconnect between the players and his instructions or he's just full of shit. I'm not having that the early goal made us retreat. We were the exact same against Derby. That's not coincidence. He clearly thought we had enough to defend the lead. You always need an outlet to counter. It's not ****ing rocket science. We have more than enough options to give them something to think about. To not have a second half shot until the 91st minute is just awful. We forever go from the sublime to the ridiculous. Never seems to be an in-between with this club. On or off the pitch. 10
Vazman Posted 10 December 2025 Posted 10 December 2025 If @Phil Mitchell has ran out of pictures and videos post match its time for him to go. Second half meltdown yet again, the players are unfit, don't have the match fitness for a full 90 mins. WTF do they do at the Seagrave and Spa taking it in turns to walk Lurch' dog around the Trg Pitch ain't cutting it. 1

The problem is we said that last season, and the season we went down when we shouldn't have, how many seasons do we keep getting out the way, it'll be the same next season as well, until we get somone competent to run the show, we are like a betamax video, that went onto VHS to DVD then being the outlier that ventured to being online, that everyone admired and wanted to mirror / have, to now being back at the Betamax phase, because the owner and DOF can't be arsed, please just sell up, and let us look forward whilst enjoying our amazing past.

Muzzy_no7 Posted 10 December 2025 Posted 10 December 2025 Must win against Ipswich, simple. Draw and he’s sacked, last opportunity of the year. 1

Of me that is. Phil
Lambert09 Posted 10 December 2025 Posted 10 December 2025 Based on the reports about January spending, I think we have to accept that he’s going nowhere. We don’t have a few mill to pay him off.
C.J Posted 11 December 2025 Posted 11 December 2025 What difference is sacking him going to make? Can't afford to pay him off, it's a transitional year. Might as well just let the season pan out as nobody think we're going up...... hopefully not going down! The past three managers have failed to get a tune out of most of the players. Another one isn't going to. Maybe he'll get some loans to work with in January and we can finish in the top half/mid-table. I'd be happy with that (obviously depends on the possibility of a points deduction).
Popular Post jimsmallman Posted 11 December 2025 Popular Post Posted 11 December 2025 I was at the game tonight. He’s got to go. Once again we have not played well for an entire game, and if we’re honest we were a little lucky to be 2-0 up anyway. It’s the genuinely baffling substitutions for me. Was JJ having his best game? Probably not, but taking him off for Daka is an insane decision. Bobby was doing alright, why take him off? They just can’t be that knackered. Then we just set up to get battered. There’s no fight from Marti either. I’d like him a lot more if he properly lost his temper from time to time but he looks like a mildly irritated bank manager. He’s not an awful human being. Often says the right stuff. But he’s not a very good manager, and he’s out of his depth and not getting better. I know whoever comes in probably won’t get much more out of these players but the fact that we occasionally have a really good 45 tells you there is the ability there, just not the mentality. It might be a transitional season but I’d rather have someone better in now to consolidate this season and then start next season properly. 5

john ridley Posted 11 December 2025 Posted 11 December 2025 (edited) Don't think he'll be going anywhere, just got 4pts from 2 away games .The games that'll seal his fate will be losing at home .The away pts don't mean much if we keep losing the home matches . Edited 11 December 2025 by john ridley

Cat Burger Posted 11 December 2025 Posted 11 December 2025 That managerial performance was 0/10, if Jordan James had picked the team and they played their own game they would have done better than that.
fox_favourite Posted 11 December 2025 Posted 11 December 2025 (edited) I think he's too soft on the players. They came out second half and didn't look motivated. Fragile confidence as well and seriously unfit. I really wanted him to succeed and liked him at the start. But my patience has gone. Problem is, who the hell will pick the replacement? The same twonks that picked Cooper, RvN and Marti? Thw new technical direct....oh. I'm right royally fed up with this team now. It's all a joke. I doubt I'll attend the Ipswich game. All I can see is a pasting and, if I'm honest, the love of the game is evaporating very quickly. Edited 11 December 2025 by fox_favourite
Bergen fox Posted 11 December 2025 Posted 11 December 2025 Went to bed at half time thinking we looked comfortable. How wrong of me to think that.

You now see why the Derby game should have rung alarm bells? Marti cannot control a match, he cannot sustain pressure, he cannot dominate an opposition. How long have you had that one loaded Mate, I don’t give a damn if Marti stays or goes. I don’t trust dumb and dumber to improve things but I’m not ‘Marti in’. What you at mistaking that for is objectively and balance which is something you don’t have given you stated on this forum that you want us to lose games as your priority is getting rid of the manager. Rather than wanting us to win games in the hope that could improve things such as confidence. I pulled you up on that comment and guess what, you didn’t acknowledge it! So even thought the principle of what you are saying I agree with (about how to approach the game in the lead), you lose credibility by wanting us to lose games as that isn’t what a supporter does and wants. It is infuriating to chuck away 2 points from 2-0. But you must be delighted with that. Clearly we haven’t got a pot to piss in to pay him off so I am just looking at it with balance rather than getting my blood pressure through the roof wanting yet another manager out when the failings run so much higher. Should Marti be doing a better job? Certainly yes. But there are some positives to build on. The team selection now resembles what most of us would select with who is available and the youngsters are getting minutes. I have said before I would prioritise youth players even if results dipped so I would be a hypocrite to moan about it and not acknowledge the young players coming in as a positive. And Winks and Faes out is great. Although we have still had poor second halves, these last two first halves have been much better than what we have seen previously. We are now looking more capable of scoring. A few weeks ago for example, we’d have not scored twice last night and lost. End of the day, 4 points from 6 on the road keeps us moving and ticking along. It just bites as it should have been 6 given the position we were in at half time last night.

Claridge Posted 11 December 2025 Posted 11 December 2025 i’m not bothered either way as there is very little any manager could do with this squad. Just so weak physically and mentally. 2
winteriscoming Posted 11 December 2025 Posted 11 December 2025 Be interesting to know if he’s won 3 on the trot in this league. Really shouldn’t be that difficult in this shit league. Reminds me of when Cooper was here. Has not got a clue if the opposition change anything tactically during a match. 1
