Anthony had pulled up two massive high chairs for Top to sack Marti, allegedly, then when Anthony and Top left for an interview somewhere, Rudkin arrived with Oscar Garcia. Don't shoot the messenger. Its alright, Rudkins mum has just arranged for him to have a play date for today
ramboacdc Posted 25 January Posted 25 January If we spent all this time and effort just to end up with Russel Martin after the whole summer of us thinking it was him and making Lucy Pinder jokes I will cry. The man either turned us down or we didn't go for him and since then he went and ****ed over Rangers. The list of replacements being touted worries me. Just a quick look at Oddschecker feels like we have dug ourselves out of fritzels basement only to end up under Fred West's patio... 1

Dahnsouff Posted 25 January Posted 25 January King will get a few weeks whilst our adept management team burst into life to rapidly pursue the best possible candidate.

Leicesterpool Posted 25 January Posted 25 January Richie Wellens still gets my vote, him with Kingy as assistant it would work. 3
AjcW Posted 25 January Posted 25 January I assume we’ll see out the month/transfer window. Appoint the Southampton technical director guy and then bring in his best mate Russ…

I’d obviously forgotten it was 2026 🤣 If he’s available, then based his association and our lack of imagination you’d say he’s worth backing.

fazzyfox Posted 25 January Posted 25 January Come on, hasn’t anyone spotted Solskjaer in Morrisons, Sam Allardyce in Greggs or David Pleat in Highfields yet?

Ah yes the fabled reliability of oddschecker… it’s just people placing bets it literally means nothing
1972 Fox Posted 25 January Posted 25 January The thread title says realistic managerial replacements. Being realistic, very few managers would join our shit show of a club. On that basis I'm suggesting Neil Warnock, who would bomb squad the toxic players in our squad. Unfortunately even he probably wouldn't take it because of how we are being run. Top and Rudkin out.
Clever Fox Posted 25 January Posted 25 January Bergovic might be another tempory stand in until the end of the season. Plenty of experience.

southfox66 Posted 25 January Posted 25 January Hopefully we have someone already sounded out and ready to go. As much as I like King I don't see him as a great long term manager, we need a complete change of attitude in the squad and King has been part of it all season,so unless he's going to tell them it's been completely rubbish this season, forget everything you been told so far and that from now on the only direction we are going to play football in is forward direction and no playing out slowly from the back every single goal kick.

Winstonthedog Posted 25 January Posted 25 January Time is now ... make Pearson DOF and let him be part of choosing the next manager but move very very quickly ... like tonight 2
Aleksz Posted 25 January Posted 25 January Think we should be more careful who we turn our noses up at moving forward. Especially as beggars can’t be choosers. I’ve seen this forum turn its noses up at Lampard, Rob Edwards, Carrick to name a few over the last couple of years - Lampard is walking the league, Edwards got Boro up to 2nd and Carrick has just outcoached the 2 best managers in the country in a week. Not just a case of only being as good as your last job in football.
Gamble92 Posted 25 January Posted 25 January Just seen Top in Safeway near the ground. He said to expect no incomings, he thinks Rudkin is doing fine and he thinks I need to buy new trainers. (They had mud on) Just so no one thinks this is misinformation, he was wearing the same clothes he had on in the Owyn interview and he wears Joop aftershave. 1 1
