The only reason I wouldn’t want Pearson is because I’d be worried about his health.

We aren’t a healthy club and it will take its toll on him.

Shows the type of character he is though if he’s saying he’s up for the fight. Will always be my favourite ever manager.

He’s genuinely too good for us and still somehow we’re the ones turning him down. Crazy.

Give Nige some credit, if he’s putting his hat in the ring, his health isn’t a concern to him

Is there any evidence of him putting his “hat in the ring”  other than rumour and hearsay

A theory I'd love to be true...

We have appointed. We are just waiting for some form of contract obligation to run out. Hence why King repeatedly says he doesn't want the job.

Another theory (and probably closer to the truth)...

We can't appoint due to PSR until a certain date when all the monies align. I imagine we are saving a bit on wages.

Or we are just incompetent.

Or no one wants the job.

It all seems very quiet now the initial newspaper noise has gone.

Psr isn’t a monthly thing

it’s relevant on June 30th  when our year end occurs.
so if we’re waiting for a date when psr for this season isn’t a thing then that’s July 1st

Pearson has recovered from his previous health issues.

Well, its improved  He is back to cycling in the Peaks apparently  that’s a great sign , honestly don’t know if he is well enough but Id caution, he recently faced a significant battle with a neurological condition that forced him to Learn to walk again.

Yes been he’s been cycling and hiking. It is worth noting as you say that he had a neurological condition and not necessarily a physical issue as such and that’s why I’d not be concerned about  whether he’s physically up for it. I mean, it’s not like he’s got arterial disease or osteomyelitis where he’s at risk of amputation..

let Andy King take the training sessions, Pearson - he can walk around frowning and giving some bolockings and then go work on the team selection and tactics.

Quite surprised I haven’t seen anyone suggest Cambiasso yet, especially now Vardy isn’t around to be against it lol

Unbelievable the number of ITKs which clearly aren’t that are posting absolute shite on here.

We haven’t interviewed anyone

we have interviewed and they are all turning us down.

Pearson wouldn’t come back

Pearson would come back

Rudkin said no to Pearson.

please stop or at least start spouting your bollocks with ‘I believe’ and end with ‘I am of course talking complete shite’.

Well said, esp the last sentence. This should be mandatory for all contributions.

All this stuff is doing my head in, and not needed on top of the whole awful situation currently with the club.

🙂😥

I will still raise my question from yesterday to the club's hierarchy - then why sack Marti???

If you knew damn well you didn't have a competent replacement lined up, why sack him? Let Marti sort his mess out rather than setting Andy King up for failure.

Because Marti was beyond shit, he was taking us down, he plainly wasn't ever going to sort anything out. We were outclassed by non other than Oxford United at home, played of the park. No board can allow that to continue even these clueless ****s!

I would love to see Nigel Pearson back but if the reports are correct he is in no health to be taking on a job like ours.

I want to see someone who is going to take this squad by the scruff of the neck & get them playing. Someone like Sean Dyche or Sam Allardyce.

I would rather go down watching 11 players who want to be here giving 110% every game then watch a Jordan Ayew lay on the floor every time he gets the ball , who clearly doesn't care about this club.

I did have Harry Winks in this category but I thought he was excellent on Tuesday.

I’m not saying I am against that plan , just that he has been though the mill and id need some evidence of wanting the kind of high pressure shit show he would be walking into

Nigel Pearson is not the solution to our current problems.

That being said, neither is Jesus, Mohammad or Buddha for that matter!!

Nature abhors a vacuum. We're almost three weeks without a manager and there is a complete vacuum of information about what is happening. Obviously the club is never going to provide a running commentary on the recruitment process, but we'd usually expect to at least have a sense of which candidates they're looking at by this stage. But the bookies aren't pricing anybody shorter than 11/4, with the next three favourites at 5/1, 11/2 and 7/1. That's the kind of market you get immediately after a manager leaves and there are no strong rumours about the replacement—not 19 days after a sacking. And since we sacked Marti several other clubs have sacked their managers and all of them look like appointing before us.

Nobody has a clue what's happening. Hence all the speculation and guesswork.

I actually think a group of our ex players would be a good shout to help Kingy out seeings as KP are not seemingly hiring a manager anytime soon!

I believe that the right manager can come in and give this squad a stabilising impact that limps it to safety and then we can worry about the future.

I know it's become a tired cliché we're all cautious of by now but this group of players genuinely is easily good enough to avoid the drop they just need galvanising.

The tactics are largely irrelevant right now, they need a strong and positive man manager to inspire a bit of something in them.

We need a trenches commander. I don't care if it's some old boy only until the summer, in fact it's arguably better if it is.

The future is relegation and financial ruin or King power go mate. 2026,2027,2028, take your pick. Given the idiots never appoint the right man for the job anyway struggle to see peoples investment or interest in it. It'll be just another chapter in King Power fck ups. AND THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

Hilarious that betting odds haven’t moved in two days - the club is in absolute paralysis

No staff dare even go for a slash without getting written permission from The Khunt first

And he simply doesn't give a shit.

I doubt he's even looked at Rudkin's email with his carefully curated, intensively researched shortlist. 'Enzo. Russell Martin. Dean Smith. Pep, Gary Southgate'
