Basically corporate / Linkedin 'high performance' bollocks jarring with the messy reality of a struggling football club.

Best summary was when Aiden McGeady criticised him for flying in on a club-financed helicopter to make long-serving low-wage staff redundant.

Here's the most famous clip from where he thought he could turn a club in crisis around by playing a different song when the players are coming onto the pitch

King Power are shit but this guy is still an absolute grifter.

hot take - he wasn't wrong

Comedy gold. It's as if they had all been hand-picked and cast by Ricky Gervais.

Couldn't give a **** who they hire. If he's working under or with Rudkin then it's pointless.

Very true.

We have to hope the Technical Director eventually undermines Rudkin and takes his job.

Unfortunately we are past hoping where Rudkin is concerned.

In this scenario people get to blame the new guy if it continues to go tits up and say Rudkin is pulling the strings if it goes well.

The useless, club destroying, incompetent grifter needs to leave this club completely.

I never want to see his twatty face in that stand again.

What other option is there? Our fanbase is full of weak and timid yes-men. In any serious fanbase you would have seen protests every week starting from the 2022 relegation.

Other than boycotting, how exactly do you force the parasites out?

In this country no chance British fans simply aren't like that on the whole.

And the "I'm a better fan than them" attitude from the likes of yourself put others off from joining in any protests.

Precisely the problem with fans in this country. Could learn a lesson from our Continental neighbours.

I am clinging to the hope that this is the beginning of a phased Rudkin exit, let’s hope the new guy is appointed with a view to giving Rudkin a transitioned departure. I reckon he will be gone in the next 6-12 months. I actually think it will have been of his own choosing as well.

I think the soon to be appointment of James McCarron is an exciting one.

He’s only 38 and already has one hell of a CV!

I see he comes from a deep rooted footballing background and in general sporting background from Semi pro football in the States too Global Director of Player Development for the power house that is CFG, as others have mentioned, they don’t hire mugs and he’s been there during the Pep years in various roles, each role getting bigger.

i think what excites me most is his connections, how many Clubs do CFG have? 13? In South America, France, Italy, Spain, all the popular destinations for scouting talent….his contacts book alone with all the connections he’s built up whilst at Lommel and as Director of player development must be juicy! and he’ll be bringing all that too us.

He's clearly an impressive young man that’s on the up which is surely exactly what we need no?

My only worry is Rudkin, and what shackles he’ll apply too James? Although saying that, Tops description of what he requires of the new Sporting Director looks quite hands on and shackle free, which will hopefully be the case for James, he’s clearly talented, let him infect his principles and philosophies into the club and hope it goes the direction we so desperately bloody need it too go

Hopefully it’s announced soon and he can get too work.

good luck too the lad, he’s going too need it

Has anyone ever considered that Top actually keeps Rudkin around because everyone blames him and that removes or at least removed the blame from top himself?

He might just be using Rudkin as cannon fodder lol

Well it was either going to be someone from Southampton or City wasn't it. I guess the obsession with sideways ball is taking a temporary break to save the club then back to the plan in summer, because of the 8 seasons we've been obsessing over Pep ball, it's gone really well for us.

Tom Rawcliffe has just stepped down as Bristol City CEO to be able to move back to Nottingham ahead of the arrival of his first child. Might be one to watch. 5 years at Bristol City

Just spat out my drink.

I mean I guess we already have a manchild...why not upgrade to a childchild?

Sorry I sound like broken record but do you think Top knows who he is? Rudkin may have met him at our away gams there perhaps but eh wouldn't remember. Incredibly agency-less man

By the time we get around to appointing someone, he / she will probably be of age..

I mean we've outsourced commercial director and CEO to a recruitment agency.... so thankfully we're not relying on those two.
