Filmed on Friday 7th

Call with FAB Friday 7th

FAB supporter groups jump to condemn chants that conveniently happened on the Saturday 8th...

All he needed to do to pull on the heartstrings of the King Power FC diehards. Let’s face it, that’s all they care about right now, they want those fans to speak up over the ones who have had enough of those in charge.

That’s also why the only direct communication will be through the FAB sham.

But maybe this is the first step toward getting “closer.” Only 5,958 more miles to go from Bangkok to Leicester.

More interested in action than words. The reshuffle is what matters at the moment, and as predictable as it was, Jon Rudkin still having anything to do with KPFC negates any positive impact it could have.

As if they'd know 😂😂😂

If he thinks that will bring him closer they’ll be thousands of fans that will be alienated and not heard. Rinse and repeat.

If serious, It be wise to also listen to the likes of @Union FS and @Foxes Trust Reform and any other fan based group I haven’t linked.

By the way, minor thing but something that speaks a lot about LCFC and its PR.

The Youtube video is title 'Khun Top EXCLUSIVE interview'

The use of the word exclusive is North Korea esque. It eludes to him being more important and that this is something rare. You can't talk about uniting people and then use language which illustrates 'master to his peasants'. While suggesting this is a a unique event when citing he's going to be more involved.

Throw in that the citing way of listening to the fans is to discuss with six selected fans on the FAB.

For anyone whose heart is melting listening to this turnip. Remember on thing:

22.5m great British pounds for Oliver Skipp as our marquee signing in the premier ****ing league.

and if it’s still melting.

Look at the sponsor on the shirt.

and if it’s still melting.

Jon ****ing Rudkin gets paid every month for this shit.

People are celebrating the fact that Rudkin has got a promotion just because the club worded it in a sly enough way.

Now this new Technical Director will have to answer to Rudkin himself, who knows nothing himself.

The idea is right - you have to acknowledge that.

The execution poor. Location. Interview style. Two chairs like a Westlife gig.

The extent of the interview is acknowledging the disconnection but it didn't say anything about how that changes.

I want to hear the plan how the club are going to get out of this mess. The decisions they have made and the actions going forward. I want to hear the extent of the Technical Director role. I want to know who is charge of picking our manager and selecting our players.

The majority of fans need to be sold something that is a realistic vision. This ain't it.

Yeah.

I feel like this could have just been a statement, they could have used that to give an outline plans with the promise that there will be more details updates on these plans in the coming months.

Doing an interview to essentially say "yeah, we're going to actually try and keep the fans informed" Whilst giving no information is completely underwhelming and to be fair, exactly what I'd expect from Top and club.

I guess admitting that it's his fault is a start.

And that there is a change in the boardroom is also encouraging.

But a lot of damage has been done and his competence for owning and running a top football club is still open to question.

But at least something is going on.

I mean I guess it's a start, as long as it's actually followed up with substance and regular communication.

Coming out and saying 'we want to communicate more' isn't really communication in and of itself.

The first step to fixing a problem is to recognise that there is a problem. They recognise the communication problem.

Now just the small matter of convincing him there is a football operations problem, as there was no hint or suggestion that our business has been conducted woefully.

Trying and failing to maintain status in the Premier League is one thing. From the position we were in, and with the systemic nature of our poor business year after year? That's another.

We have players that were signed when we were an ambitious Premier League club with eyes on Europe who we still have, and aren't even good enough in the Championship.

We then go some way to recovering that situation and handicap ourselves further by spending obscene amounts on crap upon Promotion. On long term, expensive contracts. Again, players not even good enough for the league beneath the one they were signed for.

So yes, improving communication is a step in the right direction. But for the sake of all things good, Top, can we have a look at the plonkers running the football side of the business? Or at least for now acknowledge that there will be a real review with tangible change in the coming months.

For someone of his wealth, education and position in life, he speaks exceptionally poor English. Granted, my Thai is a bit rusty. It would have been better to have had a translator imo. I feel that he ended up waffling on for 10 minutes without really saying anything. But I think that’s in part because of his lack of English.

Having said all of that….theres so much negativity on this forum because of the clubs lack of communication. Fast forward to Top trying to change that and 99% of posts are moaning about it. Can Top actually win from here?!

Before someone comes for me, I am not a KP fan boy. I’ve wanted top to sell up for the last 3 years.  But he’s not going to. So let’s get behind this new found effort to communicate with us otherwise what’s the point?

Pretty much the same points I was trying to make in an earlier post. A scenario can exist where you're not a KP Loyalist, but also can appreciate that they're at least trying something different. It's what we as fans have been asking for.

He did an interview with one of the Polo TV social media channels in the summer and had no issues whatsoever communicating clearer then.

Moving Rudkin on or to another department and publicly apologising to the fans are what i've wanted for a while, not to make fun of him or make a point of embarrassing him to put out a video or statement, but to show the fans he actually understands the issues, the next step is to work with supporters groups to actually put some sort of 5 year plan together to reconnect the club with the fans, and a seperate 5 year plan to financially stabilise us and get us back to the premier league in a position where we can stay up.

I don't think we will get a full plan given to us, but the club needs to acknowledge that we've lost our way with the blueprint that Nigel left us and that Puel progressed (With the support of Vichai/Top etc) and make a commitment to return to it. Promoting youth using our world-class facilities, signing cheaper, hungry players who have potential and need a chance.
Acknowledge that and I've said i'm more than happy to get back on their side, the proof will be in the pudding, this is the first step and i'm glad he's taken it.

At least he is admitting that things haven't been great but is showing his commitment to the club. To be fair to him has had an awful to cope with in last 7 years losing his father and covid which has hit the business hard. Subsequently took his eye off the club and he knows that. Appointing a Director of Football can only be a good thing to help with the workload. Let's get back to spotting those gems like Mahrez and Kante.
