Its quite clear, The next step in the timeline is quite clearly going to be those that will give a chance for "actions to be louder than words" vs those that are done with Top and King Power completely.

He did an interview with one of the Polo TV social media channels in the summer and had no issues whatsoever communicating clearer then.

Any chance of a link want to see how good his English really is.

So it ended up being a in house scripterview.  Still its better than nothing, I still think I am of the sell up crowd, he will need a period of sustained corrective action to change my mind.

I've not seen it yet - will sit with the boy and watch later.

I dont want to be immediately critical. Language barriers don't mean you are stupid, and in different contexts people come across differently.

In interview like this will never be 'warts and all'.

But one of the big criticisms is that we were going down the Chansiri route, that Top doesnt give a stuff and will just bankrupt us.

As much as i would rather we were taken over by an exceptionally rich, data driven high energy sports enterprise, it doesnt seem Top has thrown the towl in.

I'm surprised at how poor he is communicating in spoken English.

I got the gist of it anyway. But the proof is in the pudding, and it all seems a bit 'after the horse has bolted'.

He did an interview before with east midlands news when first joined and was poor then as well.

Prince Andrew Bombshell BBC Interview On Jeffrey Epstein To Become A Film

"Why did you keep Rudkin on after the catastrophic decline that led to the 2022/23 relegation?"

"I mean I’ve gone through this in my mind so many times. At the end of the day, with a benefit of all the hindsight that one can have, it was definitely the wrong thing to do. But at the time I felt it was the honorable and right thing to do and I admit fully that my judgment was probably colored by my tendency to be too honorable but that’s just the way it is.”

By the way, minor thing but something that speaks a lot about LCFC and its PR.

The Youtube video is title 'Khun Top EXCLUSIVE interview'

The use of the word exclusive is North Korea esque. It eludes to him being more important and that this is something rare. You can't talk about uniting people and then use language which illustrates 'master to his peasants'. While suggesting this is a a unique event when citing he's going to be more involved.

Throw in that the citing way of listening to the fans is to discuss with six selected fans on the FAB.

I wonder who they beat to this EXCLUSIVE?

I don't know about anyone else, but to me there seemed to be a lot of "but the fans just don't understand" - behind the scenes a lot goes on, we work hard blah blah

How about the fans don't "understand" because all they see is the inept decisions that lead to failures and no reasons or explanations are given. He just kept saying its hard and situations are hard, but how about actually acknowledging that they've made poor decisions, in transfers, in not planning for relegation and pretending everything will be fine, manager selection etc etc. Was almost like a "come on why the hell do you guys have a problem with us? OK if you do I'll communicate more with you OK?"

I think he's missing the point I don't believe there are more than a handful of fans that expect us to win the PL or that we're in the Championship it's that way he, Rudkin and the CEO allowed the club to decline so dramatically which was mostly self inflicted. I'm not convinced that it's Top fans want to hear from surely they want to hear from the DOF on football matters, the CEO on what's are the ongoing plans for the club and the Communications top person to regularly communicate publicly with the fans and not just with Facebook and X postings.

Deleted Scene...

Interview: Were you involved in the extension of Luke Thomas' contract?

Top: Well actually, I can 100% confirm that I was not involved, as I remember that on that specific day, when Luke signed his contact, Jon and I were at the Pizza Express at the Highcross.

Two conclusions from me:

1.Just sell the club to someone who really understands the football business and wants a future for us. Retain the shirt sponsorship and the stadium name if it's so dear to you because of the legacy of your great father.

2. If you still want to hold on to the club, stfu and hire the best of the best in the business. Accept that you are horrible as a football club owner and stay the **** away from any business decisions and daily runnings. Then watch how rapidly things will improve.

I genuinely don’t think he will ever let the club go unless he’s forced to. The emotional attachment he has won’t allow that. But that doesn’t mean bad business decisions won’t happen because he doesn’t have a clue how to run a football club.

people like chansiri were only ever in it to make money. We don’t have the same kind of problem. It’s not effort, it’s incompetence, a lack of accountability and no real leadership skills. He simply can’t make the tough decisions needed.

You reckon King Power aint in it for that?

Went to an elite school in Thailand, played Polo for years, been the director/owner of the club for 15 years and his grasp of English is that poor?

He’s not intelligent enough, that’s the problem. Rudkin strikes me as having a room temperature IQ too

I personally don’t think they bought us for money, no. And there’s been nothing I’ve seen that has made me think otherwise.

They bought it for status, a hobby and for more power over something they were passionate about. I think there’s a large majority of us that if we had endless piles of money we’d also buy a football club for fun rather than to increase our wealth

nothing about us was a good investment when they took over 😆 and we’ve always lived above our means.

Top calls the shots. What is the point of hearing from Rudkin who’s just Top’s deputy? We have to stop assigning all of these decisions to Rudkin, that’s now how his role works under Top.

It’s pretty plain to see Top is hoping enough of the people on his side will lap this up to buy himself more time. His focus on the FAB and appointment of an interim managing director, who has a completely irrelevant CV, hardly show that major change is happening at the club.

Yep i picked up on that. He always mentioned that fans are only upset after a defeat.

Didn't give the impression that he understands there is a problem and more he just sees this situation as one of those things happen and you just need to keep trying.

Rudkin’s the kind of bloke that takes the family down the Harvester and thinks it’s the peak of sophistication
