Aluko would play better than Luke Thomas because I know that my 7 year old daughter would be on par with Luke Thomas right now. He’s an absolute disgrace to the shirt and I don’t care if a he’s a local lad, he’s terrible and, based on his performances, not really that arsed.

Thought he did well. Gone done by their LW in the first half but after that thought he looked pretty composed. Few loose passes but on the whole think it was a positive performance. 
 

It’s nice having a fullback willing to get forward. Linked up well with Page & Monga when he came on.

Initially he seemed really slow off the mark against his winger, almost like it took him a little to adapt to playing against a professional winger rather than an academy player.

Yeah have to admit was a bit worried but at that point but think he kept him quiet after that. Especially in the second half. 
 

Hopefully we see plenty of him between now and May.

Its whether he'd get that opportunity without conceding etc at championship level

Agree his a bit raw, but he will get better with more minutes.

He’s already less of a risk than Luke. I’d hope to see him start least half of the remaining games this season.

Should have had far more minutes this season. So much can be achieved simply putting round pegs in round holes.

Some of these guys who have got what it takes just suddenly click. It's almost as if men's football looks a massive step up and then they realise that actually they're much better than most of the players they're playing with and against.

 

A famous example is Wayne Rooney when he went from idolising the Everton first team, to being promoted to it and suddenly realising "these are sh!t".

 

Aluko looks like a proper baller of a right-back at U21 level, getting forward and scoring goals. Hopefully it clicks for him quickly and we have a real player on our hands.

He was probably being a bit too conservative considering he got a red card in his last start.

 

It just took him some time to regain his confidence and aggression.

That didn’t seem a problem in preseason, seemed to be fine

The seasons essentially a write off, poor manager and no money, but just enough individual talent for this league to keep us mid table. 

This kid has to play and get games, he will have ups and downs, but we lose nothing by playing him and gain everything if he develops well.

Worst case is he turns out like Thomas and we address it in the summer.

Thomas he’s bullied every week…… Alukonis better than Thomas… he produced more in that game than Thomas probably ever has (despite a brief stint under Rodgers).
