Yes. This is the worse it’s ever been.

Because before we had nothing and nothing to lose…

Now we’ve more or less have everything, with a lot to lose.

The finances that have passed through this football club over the last decade, mean that the position we find ourselves in, is frankly inexcusable…. The lack of accountability, lack of care, lack of identity is unforgivable…..

The soul of the football club has been ripped out…….

Before we were just little Leicester city, no we’re not, and have somehow pissed it all away.

It's hard to agree with this. Maybe its an age thing. We had no hope at all of ever doing anything that resembled exciting for decades.

Our best players were often loan players from premiership teams. I remember being excited about Gareth Williams  because he had "pedigree".

What we currently have is a hangover from the champagne years.

Is it the worst weve seen? **** no. Miles from it. Does it sting because of what we've seen in the last decade? Probably.  But the football is eschalons higher

During the Pleat Era there was open hostility between the pitch, the stands, and the board.

The football was probably worse.

This. Football was sh1t, but at least we (collectively) didn't put up with it

It's pretty deflating to have an owner that doesn't give a shit

Yeah at least with the gang of 3 etc they did give a crap. Not the crap we wanted but they did care in their way.

This current shower simply could not give a ****.

Might not have known it at the time but there were real characters in that squad.

Yep. Shit football. Shit leadership. But we had honest pros. Gary Mac would you believe.

In footballing terms, no. However, I felt before that a managerial change or a few good signings could improve things.

Now, mediocrity is ingrained in the club. The whole place is miserable, the quality of football is dire.

Two guys behind me today were saying that this is the worse it’s ever been. That it wasn’t this bad, even in administration. Got to say I’ve never felt as bad as this supporting the club. I just didn’t really care today at all.

Worse ever? Or has there been worse times ?

Pleat,  mclintock, Taylor,  rvn.

Don't even think the Mclintock season was as bad as this .

There have been many eras worse than this, but proportionately due to what we’re paying these so called footballers, it is pretty close to being worse. Also where we were to now in a flash is hard to take.

Yes, this is easily the worst we've been because of how far we have fallen.

To have a £150m squad that is being schooled in The Championship each week, is new territory.

I felt more hopeless in the Kelly, Levin, Holloway era. Cause we just seemed to have no money at all and had players like Andy Johnson, Gareth Williams, Josh Low, Alan Rodgers stinking up the place. Pretty sure once we lined up with 6 right backs on the pitch.

I still hope after we've got through this PSR minefield that we'll have money to spend again. And we have youth prospects to look forward to. Back then we only really had Stearman.

But I don't think I've ever watched a team with such little fight and character as we have now.

We ain’t got any now

It is absolutely horrible at the minute. And it’s awful that we’ve fallen off in what feels like an unprecedented way from where we were a decade ago (even five years ago).

But it’s not the worst. When we’ve had a few years of this before ultimately getting relegated to league one and being stuck there for a few years… THEN it’s worse, because at least last time we bounced back immediately.

(That’s right, I don’t think we’ll go down this year. But it’ll be close. I think we’ll stink up mid to lower table for a few years first)

Yes. The 10th anniversary of our title win is coming up in the new year too. Ten years on from 15/16 - the best footballing miracle of our lifetime and look at the state of us now. I think worst of all is the sense of apathy. Losing is one thing but fans feeling detached from the club is far worse. I've just got to the point where I shrug my shoulders and think well what's the point? This owner, this manager, these players won't win me over

It’s worse now in the sense we all hate everything and rightly so, at least in those mid 2000’s we all just understood that we were crap and got on with it.

How old were they, 12?

It is worse because of the context of what it is.

This is a team on huge wages constantly taking the piss out of us supporters.

Those teams under Levein etc were shit footballers paid to their level.

Now is very similar to the Pleat years in that we had a few capable players - Newell, Gary Mac, Gary Mills, Steve Walsh, Tommy Wright, Ali Mauchlen - but regressed quickly and horribly to fielding clapped out old pros  Martin Hodge, Terry Fenwick, Robbie James, Ricky Hill.

We had no backbone then whatsoever, just like now. An opponent only had to show a modicum of aggression and we'd crumble. Yet, we could also be an unpredictable pain to teams at the top and bother to turn in a performance randomly.

Those four years or so pre league one years were grotesque. I thought they'd never end. It seemed a lifetime.

But as many have said, it's going to get much worse very quickly with KP. The well is dry.  We'll be in adminstration and playing home games at the Ricoh inside 18 months. If not sooner.

No, but recency bias is understandable.

It’s not recency bias any more than it just being very recently that we were the best we’ve ever been.

No club (to my knowledge, especially in the PL era) has fallen so far and hard so quickly.

It was bad back in the day, but we didnt really have any expectations it was the norm for us to finish midtable in the championship then have to odd foray up the league and into the prem, and then back dowm, league one days were so good, its because we have been so successful of late it has hit us all hard. Where do we go from here?

I mean, I struggle to see how anyone doesn’t this this issue darkest period….

Prior to Nigel Pearson (and reluctantly KP), we were just an average club… but since then, we’ve had close to £600b pass through the club….. and we’re a million miles away from Forest, and now Coventry……..
