I reckon Evans didn't get on because Marti knows there's a new superstar striker incoming and he didn't want to give the lad false hope because this new lad is going to light the Championship on fire and score 37 goals between now and the end of the season.

 

That can be the only reason, surely.

Reality is, he's not on the bench if we bring in a new striker.

Page and Aluko displayed their abilities well. Good goals for Daka and Mavididi. 
 

Boring performance as usual though. He’s not a very good manager and we have to live with that until we lose 3 in a row

Win for the confidence. Looked OK and in control in the first half. Went out at half time so dont know if the second half was a similar style or not without the goals?

Skipp and Page both really good. Page with Jordan James if we can manage to keep him and a manager who is more interested in moving the ball forward next season could be a treat to watch.

If losing this game in the cup meant we can get rid of him and potentially score more points in the league as a result, i'd take it every single day. I do not "want" us to lose this match, it's just an offer i'd take.

Keeping Marti until the end of the season will imo cost us far more than if we brought in someone like Mowbray on an interim basis. 

A loss would only add to the despondency with no guarantees of any up turn in League matches and who is the saviour?
