Losing Jordan James is a blow certainly, he's looked good in the little bits of you I've seen on EFL highlights. Who is the "worst left-back", Nelson  or Thomas? Is Skipp the number 10 you write of?

Luke Thomas is league 2 level. He’s our only fit left back. The other left back Kristiansen is out with a bad knee injury but is similarly out of his depth at this level. Bobby Reid is our only fit number 10. He’s a good finisher but for a number 10 he’s barely involved in games, runs out of steam at 60 minutes and gets knocked off the ball by a gentle gust of wind. Ayew and Daka up front shouldn’t need any explanation. In midfield we have 17 old Louis Page as our only potential bit of creativity but he’s 17 and is really a number 6. The only other midfielder is Skipp - he works hard but he’s a meat n potatoes midfielder. Hamza is not a midfielder at this level. With such a weak midfield and the lack of a target man, our wingers are isolated and easy to double up against as there’s no threat from elsewhere.

At least we have a popular man in charge. Needs to drop Ayew and have some sort of pace (Daka or Mavididi) up front.

I don't think Kingy's team selection will.be very much different to Marti's if I'm honest, as he's still governed by the players who are available.

Having said that, if we see say Daka starting instead of Ayew (who is then  relegated to the bench), and Page for BDCR,  Aluko gets a start, and Hamza is bench warming, then this would be encouraging. ( but I don't expect that will happen)

But TBH  even if we see a form of a "Marti's team Selection" taking to the field, the first 20 mins will still be very telling. The players showing a bit of gousto wouldn't be surprising  after a managers sacking and is an "easy fix", by the players. But it's the style, if we look to be actually trying to get it forward with a bit of purpose and our wingers are willing to take players on then there maybe some hope yet.

If we are just treated to a carbon copy of the last few games  then Kingy may actually have been part of the coaching problem and it makes bringing in a new manager paramount

..

Only time till tell......

as much as I love Kingy I can't see him getting much more out this squad than previous managers I just think the quality is too poor and he hasn't got the authority to whip these fxckers into shape

I can't see that King has a wide enough experience to bring in a new style of football other than what has been coached at Leicester since Claude Puel.

You only need a 100 or so outside the main entrance for more to join in

Won’t happen we have too many happy clappers

How bad does it have to be before anything happens ?

4231. Thomas BdcR Ayew (up front) First three names on teamsheet.

Same ol' same ol' 2-3 to Charlton

JV to dictate the walking football pace, ignore the unmarked wingers and keep passing to Ayew in the middle.  Easy counter attacks all day for Charlton.

Maybe not but if he could just bring some passion and fight whilst delivering inspirational team talks

I'm convinced things can only get better 💯

Football can at times be too clever for its own good.

Look at Carrick - will it last, probably not but he has the players making an effort and playing a system they are more comfortable with.

I think his big decision is what to do with Winks given the injuries we have.  Hopefully by the end of the window he’ll have a striker.

1 He’s working on his badges

2  He’s now working with the kids at Leicester

3 He’s been promoted to 1st team coach at championship level  🤪

4 He’ll take full charge of a championship match having become first team manager on a temporary basis

A meteoric rise that simply doesn’t happen in real life.

If the club was a pet you’d take it to the vets and they’d put it out of its misery

Think I’d go;

Begovic

Ricardo Okoli Nelson Aluko

Skipp

Fatawu BDCR Page Mavididi

Daka

Some through choice, some due to lack of alternatives. Think all most people want to see is some fight and effort. That running stat still deeply concerns me!

I just hope that we play with pace and actual fullbacks for a change.

Stolarcyzk

Ricardo Okoli Nelson Aluko

Skipp Page

Fatawu BDCR Monga

Mavididi

I'd do this but Daka () for Mavididi. His performances have been absolutely disgusting and don't trust him to have the brain to do any of the busy work up that. Totally get the idea but just don't see him doing it well. Not that Daka does the job of a striker well but it's his inability to kick a football that stops him, not his brain. Might as well put an actual striker in there who will at least run in the channels. Mavididi probably just want to get on the ball all the time. Seeing him play as a 10 has been so depressing. Not far off putting Hamza and Luke Thomas in that role lol
