I don’t get the pile-on for Marti. He seems like a totally decent guy. He just wasn’t good enough. That’s on us for appointing him. In a difficult set of conditions, he seems to have given it his all. Sadly, his all was nowhere near the level we needed. Personally, I hope he goes on to have success elsewhere and wish him well.

I thought this, but then when he started to have a dig at the fans for voicing their concerns, that's when i thought.... Nah not having that.

Quite some achievement for the fans to be so overwhelmingly in favour of his sacking. 

 

While football fans are fickle, of course, I really don't think it would have taken much for the fans to see his side and blame the owner, the players, and the lack of investment. 

 

He didn't even really need to perform 'on par'. Sub par would have been sufficient for him to curry favour this season. 

 

Somehow he's been bad enough for the collective thought to be that even with these chancers we call our players, we should be doing a hell of a lot better than we are. 

 

We genuinely haven't had a single 90 minute performance we can be proud of. Not that many 45s either, if we're honest. Incredible.

I like the guy but he just had to go.  It was getting worse every week and you can't change the squad overnight so you just have to try something else with the manager.  I wouldn't mind if he was successful somewhere else he seemed like a hard working guy.

I don't see him succeeding elsewhere... He is incompetent.

People don't hate him, they just want him gone. 

 

I'm a nice guy too, but I shouldn't be Leicester City manager. 

 

There's always going to be a bit of a bad taste when you do quite such a bad job. He was shocking.

He wasn't good enough and I think he should have got way more out of the resources available but I can't celebrate. 

 

Knowing what's hanging over us with the points deduction and the wider issue with Rudkin and Top, there's just an empty feeling tonight. 

 

They'll be praying King gets a couple of results so they can leave it to him for the rest of the season. Then we'll have a reset with a bunch of scouts and Director of Football who show no evidence they can sort this out. 

 

Feel a bit for Marti. I like the way he took the time to appreciate the history of the club and the city. Much more than previous managers. You cannot defend what has gone on though. Yes, we have a bunch of awful characters but there were so many ways you could get more out this squad.

Why would he agree to go somewhere where the club cant buy anyone and are on their way to League one? Will be someone even further down the pecking order

Not a single team in the league we can't beat with this squad if it was actually set up correctly, and if players actually wanted to perform.

 

Mavididi & Fatawu switch it up, JJ returns and skipp continues as hes done recently...

 

Get a couple of youth in the mix and a striker, its all very realistic.

 

All depends on whos appointed though.
