The thread title is poor and has caused confusion.

 

It should be "Leicester City Players Whose Names Suggest Another Trade / Job"

 

Because the current thread title is asking people to suggest that Lineker worked on Leicester Market and went on to be a presenter and podcast company owner, etc.

I know the thread was supposed too be trades within their names but went in two directions, whilst we’re on the other trade topic in the early 90’s I used to get my haircut at a little hairdressers salon on Narborough Road. It was run by a dad, son and daughter, all nice people and I’d always talk to them about City. One day the son said “Dad used to play for them”. I never asked their name but in recent years it bugged me, I nearly asked Birch as he might know. Any ideas who this may have been? May have been a reserve or youth, may have been a legend, nice guy regardless.
