That's if we got any players left!!!!

I wouldn't put it past our hierarchy to actually set us up with six wingers... then go and get Jesse Marsch in, given he's notorious for refusing to play with any width whatsoever. lol

Real galaxy brain stuff to release Carranza because he’s so bad he can’t get in the team ahead of Jordan Ayew, only to sign Richards, who is apparently so bad he can’t get in the team ahead of Jordan Ayew.

It's a bit naive to think that he's only not playing because he's shit.  The fact is he's an unknown. The manager doesn't know him, the coaches don't, King doesn't, the players don't.  At this stage a handful of training sessions where Rowett is trying to get a grip on the squad as a whole, he's not going to be focussed in on a loan striker who has also just walked through the door.  Carranza was given the opportunity to disappoint at least.  Richards doesn't really have time on his side to both integrate and impress.

Mukasa walked into the side and obviously looks a player, but thanks to injuries and suspensions to the usual 10's he got an opportunity that Richards might not get.

Given he seems more of a wide right inside forward than an out and out striker, I think he came in as some additional flank cover; namely for Fatawu.

That argument falls down knowing Ayew is out of contract in the summer though - effectively, we have the services of both players for the same amount of games.

I'm optimistic that Rowett will have seen Jordan slow down our game and fall over himself last night and draw the conclusion the last three managers have failed to - that he's a waste of time and we need to try someone else in rotation with Daka. I reckon we see Richards start to get minutes in the next few games.

Yeah I was being a bit facetious. Just frustrating that we desperately needed a striker in both the summer and in January, and on both occasions signed players who for different reasons aren't trusted to play.

With respect Chelsea have bought and hoarded 100s of "Richards". Just like Golding he isn't going to be anything special.

Him saying he's gonna bring "bare goals" in a Jamaican accent having only ever played in america and recently recovering from an ACL would have clearly told you that!

To be fair he just meant it's his dream to take a shit in the woods.

So, who DID know him and who was responsible for signing him?  I appreciate it was a "wild card" loan as they were clutching at straws, with no cash to spend. I hope he creates/scores some goals to keep us up.

I saw a compilation clip of him playing in the Chelseas U21s against West Ham. He looked like Fatawu - playing on the right but all left foot.

You do realise that Rudkin is just waiting for the ink to dry on Ayew's new contract and pay rise?

If I was Lorenz Hutchinson or Jake Evans I'd be raging we're bring in less proven players than them to take up a squad number.

Seems to me we have an obsession with Chelsea youth.

Didn’t King say he was brought in as RW cover?

As Fatawu currently coping Richards isn’t going to get a look in and surprise surprise there is no Page, Aluko, S Thomas, Marcal & Monga is just warming the bench, hell even Mukasa is having to make do with the odd 10-15mins after the start he made.

Rowett just won’t be calling on youth in these remaining games unless injury dictates

If I were them if be delighted they brought someone else in to do nothing and let me go and get competitive game time 👍
