The most uninspiring appointment ever . Until the end of the season but is that just a cover if we go down they will give him the job full time because he is cheap.

The question I have to ask is they spoke to him 2 weeks ago so why so long to appoint him? Did he turn us down thinking he would get the Blackburn or Watford job , Now wants the Leicester job because he got neither.

An appointment which sums up the mismanagement by the idiot in charge.

Good luck to him though, especially with trying to make us decent defensively with Thomas Okoli and Ricardo

I imagine they have been trying to find someone better but everyone else has said no.

Granted, it might just be wind, but my gut feeling is that Rowett might just be what we need right now.

If he can tighten us up defensively, we should have enough going forward to get out of the bottom 3 and to safety.

Let’s get back to playing some gritty, no-nonsense football for once.

We can then reevaluate in the summer.

Best of luck to him. Hopefully he's perceptive and brave enough to quickly identify the players who can't be relied upon and push them to one side because if there's one thing that I think will almost certainly prove fatal, it's another round of entirely undeserved clean slates being handed out.

if we stay up on goal difference, it will be seen as a success - I honest don't care how it's done as long as it gets done.

We've gone from Premier league champions to Championship relegation fodder in 10 years.

Imagine if it had happened even faster :P

Realistically he’s probably all we are gonna get under these incompetent ****wits. If he come in punches a few people, falls out with a few of our players then fair play. He seems to believe he can do something which is something.

Looks like he's tactically flexible and has experience of the situation we're in. I'd much rather this than someone who is a big name ex-player.

I think we're finally at the point where everyone has accepted how bad this squad of players is. So they won't expect miracles from him. Could be exactly what we need.

It’s giving me Steve Cooper MK2 vibes, was always available and in the end was the only one remotely interested in taking the job after a glutful of big unattainable names have told us to do one.

He can organise a defence, Cooper couldn’t do either.
