I don’t think it’s fair to say Monga has underperformed. Maybe he hasn’t lived up to the hype.

His heart isn’t in it. But then again, why would it be? He’s 16 year old lad from Cov with an exceptional talent who’s waiting for a move to Man City.

Underperformed? Nah.

Overhyped? Probably imo.

Agree with you and the over hype is why there is little to no chance of Man City signing Monga. The gulf in class between Monga and Mukassa shows that. Yes he is young but I don’t see all the hype around Monga. Maybe a different club can improve him but there is a lot of work to do.

Kristiansen / Thomas - should be able to play at this level. One has been injured and looked doggo, the other gets more unreliable as he gets older.

Carranza, Soumare, Faes and Ayew somehow managed to worse than what we expected and looked about as interested as my dog does when I ask it to go outside in the rain.

El Khannous bailed but that last performance from him was a disgrace.

Monga, Nelson, Page, Alunko and even Stolarczyk haven’t lived up to expectation, however we shouldn’t we relying of so many players at a young age. They’re likely a tad overhyped but need time to develop.

Daka could score for fun in Austria. He couldn’t score in a brothel in Leicester.

Ramsey has spent more time injured than Kristiansen, which is an achievement.

Mavididi has been more cold than slightly warm, but his xG vs goals must be horrendous. He’s not even been half the player he was last time.

Ricardo and Winks are a shadow their former selves.

Reid is just an enigma. Pops up with goals but then disappears for games at a time. Can’t seem to play anywhere other than a 10.

Begovic likely came to be third choice and he’s spent his retirement season playing as the rest are horse …..

Okoli looks like he’s won a competition playing a brand of football that requires him to pass. The style doesn’t suit him in the slightest.

The lot of them have largely underperformed but should we have expected less?

Reality is we’ve maybe got Skipp, Fatawu, Mukasa and Vestergaard (I said it) that you’d say have been steady, with James being exceptional.

Unfortunately I think majority of these are actually ‘performing’ at their level

Winks has clearly got off field issues but have to argue he can make an impact - which pains me to say it

It has to be Mavididi as most underperforming/underwhelming for me. He’s shown in the past he has good quality but we are getting nothing out of him. Think he’s been fortunate that we have little quality and depth in those positions which has what’s kept him playing as much as he has - he also comes with star player mentality too which makes the situation even worse, he can’t even wins his individual battles let alone win us the game

Honorable mention for Ricky P. Been very disappointed with him this season. Partially because of the high standards he’s set himself because I can’t say he’s been worse than Faes, BDCR, Ayew or Mavididi..

Very true .... Monga has potential but nothing more .... there are lots of young players  similar ... 95% of which will come to nothing .... a different club ... definitely

Boggles my mind that people list Stolarczyk in this. He has struggled, but has the worst back 4 in front of him with no leadership, and for big portions of the season was keeping more out than his stats suggest. Never downed tools and still has development to do.

For me the 3 are:

Riccy. Appalling this season. Even worse as a captain. Offering no leadership, and no longer has the tool to lead by example. If there was someone you needed to look at to pull the team together its him - but he is completely vacant.
Ayew. Lot of talk in preseason that him in a false 9 could be a cheat code. Scored a few in preseason just to give us hope. Would put his performances this season on a par with Danny Ward. Simply pathetic to watch him stroll around the pitch where ever he likes, fall over on the slightest touch, and give fouls away at key moments. And that ******g penalty miss against Charlton when we were 0-1 down. Bonehead. Also had to sit next to his biggest fan earlier in the season (cmon Jordon, unlucky Jordan, try again Jordan).

Mavadidi: For obvs reasons. Actually think he has massive self confidence issues. But that SM post about the popcorn, and having such a poor record. And still does the step overs as if he is on 15 goals this season.

I resist the urge to add Fatawu. I think he has proven to me this season he has no football brain. He has provided some brilliant moments (i nearly peed myself home against Ipswich), but the inability to get any basics right hurts us dearly. Also argues like mad with officials and our own players. Actually think we should be using him as an impact sub right now.

Nothing special. If man city pay us for him bite their hand off.

Nothing that I've seen of Skipp so far has convinced me he hasn't underperformed.

When some fans come to his defense, I wonder why. Because he's been consistently less shit than others?

What does Skipp contribute to the team exactly? I do realize that he's no goalscoring midfielder and more defensive-oriented.

Assists so far? 0.

High workrate means nothing when you have nothing to show for. He's very active on the pitch. But apart from that?

Does he sweep up opposing attacks? Not really.

He also doesn't strike me as a player that particularly likes to get stuck in. He's only slightly taller as Dennis Wise, but not a pest to play against.

As for Monga, I have acknowledged the fact that his current demise is partly down to our manager's decision. I'm probably not the only one who expected to see more of him this season.

And as others have pointed out, I've excluded Stolarczyk for a very good reason: the clown show that is our defense.

Underperform usually means you expected to them to do better…  Ricardo and even fatawu for me. Might seem harsh on fatawu because he’s had so many magic moments but I think we all know he’s better than he has been performing this season on the whole

Abdul

he has checked out and gets a very easy ride from fans !

gone from £30m player to £10m player

apart from the social media highlight reel goals his contribution has been stinking the place out recently

BDCR?

That’s a bit harsh for me. He’s our 3rd top scorer and 4th for GA this season.

The team as a whole has massively underperformed... possibly because the attitude of we are to good for this league which was obviously misjudged ... but the club management, King power, Top, Rudkin, the board are not blameless .... poor decisions... poor appointments.... lack of planning ... poor contract negotiations .... looking away from obvious problems, totally dysfunctional as a whole .. they are the real culprits that the club is in the position it is .... now take ownership.... put it right.... or sell it

Difference between underperforming and just being shit.

In terms of ability you'd have to say Winks, Mavididi (although I've never seen him as particularly good) and even Fatawu to a certain extent, more in terms of consistency, have under-performed.

With the exception of Monga and Page because they 16 and 17, everybody in the entire club as underperformed.

Jordan James the only player who has performed consistently
