Passing for passing sake will not get us out of this league. A manager that thinks hes better than he is, that plays a brand of football that is boring, that relies on teams coming at us so we can open them up. It isn't made for League 1 one bit. Stupid appointment if true It will suit our opposition to the ground. They have 11 behind the ball. Wait for the mistake and exploit on the counter attack. This gamble shows no acknowledgement of the serious work the squad needs doing. We have no senior right back, we are short in midfield, we have no striker. Alongside the various players that aren’t capable of this style. Aiyawatt probably listening to players again about passing style 1

Md9 Posted 6 June Posted 6 June The club had a chance to try get some fans back on side by going for someone that wasn’t the same kind of shite we have been linked to but will be going for the easy boring shite option instead 1

And we're a 3rd tier club being run worse than a pub team. That is true. However I'd put Aiyawatt and Rudkin at this point far below even him. To them, it would be seen as a coup. That's their entire ethos. Throw money we don't actually have to try and patch things up. It's never building anything up from the ground. 1
scinnell Posted 6 June Posted 6 June I am so glad I made the decision not to renew instead of watching this circus next season. 4
South Shire Fox Posted 6 June Posted 6 June (edited) Has he got the same dodgy agent that Rudkin gave £5m to last season in our loan signings? Genuinely curious Edited 6 June by South Shire Fox

I don't even hate it when it's effective, and I was among Maresca's biggest advocates when the tide was turning against him here. But when it hasn't worked for years and the fanbase aren't getting behind it, what's the point in doubling down on it? The last time we played "possession football" was with Maresca when we got promoted, Cooper, Ruud and Rowett were not possession managers and they got us relegated, Marti was more of a possession manager than them but he'd still have games with 30-40% possession. So the only point is that the fanbase aren't getting behind it, not that it "hasn't worked for years" 3 1
Popular Post Stadt Posted 6 June Popular Post Posted 6 June Besides the obvious problems, it’s taken this long to appoint their unemployed first choice manager - why couldn’t this have happened weeks ago? 5 1
Benji Posted 6 June Posted 6 June When I think I can't get any angrier with this club they do something like this. We are the absolute pits. I can only think that it's got to the point where Top and Rudkin are doing this to spite us as some kind of revenge for protesting. There is no way either of them have the best interests of the club at heart and they're proving it with every decision.
Unabomber Posted 6 June Posted 6 June (edited) We would be better off if Top and Rudkin decided on who would be their absolute last choice manager was and we appointed him (or her). Edited 6 June by Unabomber

It’s a coaching choice rather than a statistical one 3
Happy Fox Posted 6 June Posted 6 June Is anyone surprised? The charlatans running the show are clueless.
Patrick Posted 6 June Posted 6 June Are people really surprised? All we've seen for the past few seasons is these morons making the same stupid decisions over and over again while completely disregarding the opinions of the fanbase as they do so.

LeePhilpottsBaldSpot Posted 6 June Posted 6 June I'll get behind him if he comes, but his record is poor, his style is boring and he seems to be a complete bellend. 1

The only exception is Cooper. He had to go, but Ruud wasn't the answer.

Get rid of Sadler, King and Hughes and actually sign a Fitness coach and GK coach.
Ted Maul Posted 6 June Posted 6 June Saw this thread was hot and my stomach dropped... the news we've all been dreading. Sell the club and **** off. 4
