Iwebema Posted 9 June Posted 9 June Here we go! At least tomorrow we will be one step closer to sacking him. Always think of the positives. 1

You're being unnecessarily harsh here on @ClaphamFox - Martin didn't get the job in 2025 reportedly after fan reaction so it's not a leap to say he wouldn't be in the running this time, especially given the unpopularity of the board. It's wild they're making such a divisive move. I think most of us are now trying to find something positive here given the appointment seems inevitable! Edited 9 June by lcfc_forever

There will be no positives until KP, Top and Rudkin are gone. With regard to my other point, he should change his user name to ClaptrapFox with some of the recent nonsense he's been posting. SemperEadem Posted 9 June Posted 9 June (edited) What the **** are they playing at. Like the bloke has no chance if its remotely not winning the league at a canter. Just badly want a fanbase pulling in the same direction again so we can start singing and enjoying it. Edited 9 June by SemperEadem 2

Seems logical for a club that fired the last 3 managers within a season and have financial issues. Even stranger when you consider the last 5 haven’t lasted more than a season

cropstonfox Posted 9 June Posted 9 June Its not over yet. I can remember when Mike Walker was a done deal and O'Neil arrived a few days later.
Popular Post Donwebbio Posted 9 June Popular Post Posted 9 June The club is in a death spiral. Totally the wrong man at the wrong time with the wrong players to execute his outdated style. It makes no sense from any angle you view it from. 13

winteriscoming Posted 9 June Posted 9 June Potter was supposedly all but done so I live in hope this doesn’t happen. There’s always a possibility it will fall apart. Come on Burnley you know you want him.

I didn’t think the club would be stupid enough to appoint him. Unfortunately it looks like I was wrong. I also don’t think he’ll take us down to League Two. That doesn’t alter my view that it’s a stupid appointment.
Gazza M Posted 9 June Posted 9 June I have come to the conclusion that Top is on an intelligence level similar to that of Joey Essex.

This exactly Even is I was a fan of Russell ball we definitely won’t have the players to pull it off and no money to buy them so what a waste of time. 1
Enyoueffsea Posted 9 June Posted 9 June What a remarkably bad appointment. I mean it says a lot that his stock is so low he is having to go for it. He’s been a few agent for ages, if he was truly up for it and keen, why wasn’t he through the door months ago? To be fair, any professional manager should be capable of getting you promoted next season*, but he’ll need binning almost immediately as he’s not the answer to progress through the Championship. There must be a capable up and coming young manager in League One, Two or the continent who is worth investing in to grow together with. *subject to sensible transfers.
ClaphamFox Posted 9 June Posted 9 June Just now, fox_favourite said: Do do you think he'll do what's needed and get us up first time? It will depend entirely on what kind of squad we have, which none of us know. Irrespective, I think it’s a terrible appointment because we’ve just hurtled down two divisions largely because we can’t defend—and Martin is famous for his inability to coach a defence. I just don’t think our fanbase can take any more of watching us gift stupid goals to the opposition, yet that’s the route the club seems to be going down. 1
TheLittleBigMan Posted 9 June Posted 9 June Finally got our man. The fans have been calling for this appointment for a long time now. Expansive, aggressive and attacking football with an unparalleled win ratio. Top, Rudkin, once again you've nailed it. I'm absolutely gutted I cancelled my season ticket now. 2
Popular Post BlueBus Posted 9 June Popular Post Posted 9 June What's mad is that the board sacked Cooper whilst he was performing better in the league than Martin. Russell Martin has won 5 games since that day. 9
