I would imagine there is a price on every head of those still in contract tbh.

I’m not even sure we could say we will build a team around those break-through academy lads at this point due to finances & a lack of future manager.

We don’t have any Premier league bound players, Fatawu at a push maybe, but Championship clubs could strip us of any nuggets we think we could build around & hopefully they do for certain players, the likes of Mavididi for instance.

If League 1 it is to be, you would like to think those that we have out on loan will be safe from being poached from teams in the championship but still be able to hold their own for us to be competitive, Braybrooke, Cartwright, JJ, Alves, Wilson-Brown along with Popov & Evans.

We then get into those who are performing well in the unders currently but the main names have all been linked to premier lge academies so unknowns there also.

Of all the players that have had a 1st team start this season I’d only say what a shame if unfortunately sold are probably Aluko & Nelson at this point & at a push Page because he would then make up the 10th outfield player with the guys name checked already and then add in a keeper we have a starting 11 & all academy who should be able to be competitive in Lge 1….

It’s a start.

Keeper

Aluko

Nelson

Wilson-Brown

JJ

Braybrooke

Cartwright

Page

Alves

Popov

Evans

Then add in from there

Imagine Souttar starts at centre half considering he’s barely played in two years, and I’d probably have Monga out wide and Evans up top but at this point I’m so excited for our squad to be flushed out even if it is crap for a while

The culture at the club is rancid and has been for near on 5 years.

Mass clear out is needed.

But nothing changes until the senior leadership they are the ones that are responsible for that culture.

100% need a no dickhead policy.

What actually starred the rancidness 5 years ago?

Senior players I see staying are Stol, Thomas, Souttar, Skipp and BDCR.

Question marks over Nelson and Vesty, personally see Ben staying and Yannik moving on.

I’ve said this before on here, but the litmus test to our “reset” will be if Hamza is still here next season. Has to go for me

Wilder has recently said that he is looking to sign about 10 players in the summer. Touch wood, one of those is Hamza. Maybe LCFC will offer them a buy one, get one free!!

Wouldn’t shock me, would imagine he’d have an interest in Souttar too. We will be selling cheap

Just bare in mind that for every player that leaves, finances have to be found to replace.. wether  that’s transfer free, signing on fee, agents fee..   some people  might be kept because we simply can’t afford to replace them..

Surely if we sell a player for let’s say 5M pounds and they’re on 50K a week ( figures are for arguments sake), and we use the transfer fee received to service running costs of the club and replace that player with a free transfer we should surely be able to afford wages of around 15-20K a week? And still save money on the original wages.

We’ve got some very good players for league one once the shit has gone. It’s a great time for a reset we just can’t mess it up this time

Would be absolutely amazed if Souttars contract included a clause for league one wage reduction. He will be one that will start the season with us and then get a move, slightly below book value at absolute best, to Sheffield United on deadline day.

we said that about the championship aswell..

Exactly. Except that we're under even more pressure to get promoted and some of the younger lads will be snapped up by bigger clubs

For every player that leaves we are relying on Glover and Rudkin finding an adequate replacement! :nono:

Its a standard clause in player contracts, they will all have it like when we were relegated from the Prem

Release - Ricardo, Daka, Ayew, Lasecelles, Wanya, Begovic

Sell - Mavididi, Fatawu, Okoli, Monga (I wouldn't sell him, but I think the rumours are he is off)

Sell/loan out - Skipp, Souttar, Vestergaard, Bobby Reid, Vietes, Kristiansen, Choudhury, Thomas - some of these should be on free transfers to get them off the wage bill

Bascically only Nelson and Stolarczyk from this season's main first team squad should be here next season, but I think we'll struggle to move some players on due to wages/injury concerns.

Firstly everyone out of contract leaves.  No new deals however cheap.

Everyone else is for sale.

We need to get a manager sorted in the next few weeks.  They then need to sit down with the DoF and agree who they actually want in the squad.

Those they don't want or cannot afford to keep train apart and are told to find another club either perm or loan.  They must be nowhere near the squad in the meantime.

The DoF then has a list of gaps, a budget for wages and goes out to try and fill those gaps.  Attituude is more important than skill at this point.  Any gaps at the end of the summer window are filled with youth.

We accept we may not get promoted next season.

We have a decision to make regarding Nelson and Jakub as I think they both have 1 year left - Probably have to offer a new contract to both. A chance someone will take a chance on Nelson and we'd have to accept if he doesn't want to sign.

Be nice if someone like Vestergaard ripped up his final year and offered to leave for free - he doesn't need the money - and see if he can find a team in European leagues or back in Denmark. Same for Winks if he has indeed got a year extension.

Everyone is for sale, and I think we will lose a couple of youngsters to clubs who want to take a gamble. We'll be left with the youngsters no-one else wants.

Souttar and Skipp will be on good wages but if there is a way they can stay I'd be ok with that.

Probably need at least 9 first 11 players - maybe even 11 - just don't see how we can fund a rebuild like that.

There will be lower league players that'll probably still jump at the chance to join us, which will do for a season maybe and then we'll be stuck with them for 5 years on stupid wages

No more stupid wages will be possible.  Not a chance.

I fear that we will sell all youngsters, close the academy, sell Seagrave, keep several overpaid underperformers that are still in contract, and not bring in any new players all summer.  Then in the last week of July, the owners will announce that they are off, leaving us to forfeit the first few games in the newly renamed Sports Direct Stadium due to being unable to field 11 players.

Its not all doom and gloom though - the League Two title is the biggest trophy in the EFL that we haven't won yet.  Add in the BSM Trophy (or whatever its called now) and we could become the first team to win the lot!

Get rid of everyone you can who will attract offers. Which financially will have to happen anyway. You'll probably be left with some veterans who nobody will take plus a few kids. Then it will be a matter of fleshing out the squad with a mix of some decent pros plus some more youngsters. No choice any more. We're broke and in the third tier where the competition is better than you think. Stop dreaming.
