There's not a chance Rudkin goes because I genuinely believe Aiyawatt is naive enough to think that everyone's doing an OK job and that this is some sort of freak season.

Top was literally removed from making any decision making role in the king power business, people who are actual experts in duty free and aviation businesses took over. It's extremely annoying there aren't other stakeholders in the leicester business. This is why we need a 50+1 rule in the efl so fans can actually veto custodians of football clubs who do a bad job. If we had 50+1 we could sack rudkin.

The approach taken was that its fixable if Top changes approach, when instead the guy should be asking/

 

(a) recruitment strategy

(b) consistent final breaches

(c) when is he selling the club, its not working

(d) how long before rudkin contract is terminated, and if not, which areas of the job does top think he has performed well, specific metrics not "hes done well".

So yeah, the questions could have been tougher or more direct, and I don't think the Trust is avoidant of criticism. 

 

I would like to think the meeting with the Trust on Monday is more direct as there'll be plenty more time to reflect and be more assertive in preparing for speaking to the club. And yes, that would be the time to mention specifics as the club literally can't run or hide in those more official settings. 

 

I think we can agree we'd all do things differently. I would have but perhaps not to the extent that you or others would have. I wouldn't have gone in all guns blazing and expecting hard solid truths in that moment. I perhaps would have asked him more engaging questions, true. 

Also this wasn’t an official FT meeting with the club so this is not a reflection on how Steve or the trust board would operate in a very different situation and environment. This was an unscheduled and unplanned chance meeting,  one which would and could be shut down as soon as any aggression, abuse or pointed questions about any particular individual were levelled towards him. 
 

anyone expected someone to ask about Rudkin getting sacked and Top suddenly launching into a tirade about him and how he will be sacked ASAP is living in dream land. It was always going to be safe responses and just trying to show how gutted he was by it all. 
 

personally think the criticism levelled by some toward GLC is a little over the top.

Why would you need to resort to abuse though? It would actually make better viewing if he had asked some really difficult questions and then Top & Co were squirming and quickly aborted - it would show what kind of owner he is, a complete coward and couldn’t even face up to a fan asking some difficult questions. 
 

We were never going to get any sensible or coherent responses from Top, he isn’t going to pull out a 5 year plan (capability aside) and start going through it with a few random lcfc fans. Everyone gets criticism now and again, don’t take it to heart especially from people you don’t know from Adam. 
 

He needed something to get his arse twitching and heart rate up - it would be great to see what kind of operator he was in that situation as every output we’ve suffered so far from him is some clinical, set up, sanitised bullsh*t.

We have gone from the best period in the clubs history to the worst. The elephant in the room seems to be Rudkin getting what appears to be a promotion and not being held accountable for the failings. The best thing Top can do (apart from sell) is hold Rudkin accountable and cut him loose. I would liked to have heard more focus put on Rudkins involvement moving forward but it must of been hard to stay composed in asking the questions.
