It'll be Adebayor and/or Keillor-Dunn.

I'm all for this if he can still run the length of the pitch to taunt the opposition fans after scoring.

I think this is a decent signing, last year registered 6 goal involvements and in the 3 previous seasons  reached double figures for goal involvements so not too shabby given it’s a level higher than where we will be playing.

personally I think given he can play as a striker or attacking midfielder he wlll be used as a false 9.

We need an out and out number 9 not another Chaplin type player.

Thought he was more a CAM, SS than a pure CF.

Feel like we are bring in another Chaplin.

I think they probably a bit of the opposites of each other

Chaplin is an attacking mid/support striker who can be a centre forward if needed

Cullen is a centre forward who can be an attacking mid/support striker if needed - and is probably the kind of striker who drops deep and roams around a bit to get involved the play which I imagine is what Russell likes about him

Chaplin:

We should be buying Ballard at what ever cost, used to play for Southampton surely one will be good.

That's the only way we will get out this league

Ballard will probably cost about triple what we end up paying for Cullen

think its more the fact we still need an out and out fox in the box striker more than anything

But can we afford one that is proven at this level?

Or do you go for the striker (Cullen is a striker) the manager has used and done well with before that probably suits how he wants his striker to play?

nah cullen is more of a mid than a striker,
and given the cullen market value, 2/3mil, youd think we surely could

I think Transfermarkt only has him as an Attacking Mid because that has where has mostly played the last couple of seasons (whilst still also playing plenty as a striker as well) but when you look at this whole career:

Martin only used him as a striker at Swansea, didn't play him anywhere else but up top.

guess we've found our new striker then....

Got 5 goals in 8 as a CF under Martin in his breakout season. You’re right he’s often moved around but can be of use as a striker

I guess if nothing else it’s good to

see were backing RM getting in players he rates…

I’d still sooner see us spend money on an out and out striker rather than going down the route of “he can also play there” that’s seen us burnt so many times 🤦🏼‍♂️

Apparently another former Swans player is also on Russell Martin’s radar …….

Are Swansea going to be the new Southampton.......

If the club were watching Premier League Years 2012/13 last week on Sky Premier League then get a striker called Michu in, please.

I hate the thought of us getting players from them but wouldn't be surprised at someone like Joel Latibeaudiere who plays centre back from Cov

Played under Russell in 22/23 at Swansea, only has 1 year left on his contract and I doubt he will be playing for them in the Prem

I tend to agree, but if you look at what we've bought or loaned as out and out strikers over the last few years, it doesn't mean they'll do the business. I like the idea we are trying to accommodate RM in the transfer market, getting players he knows and can play his system.

Why do you want Hamza, in what way has he ver improve our squad, let alone first eleven, at any point in his career.

I said Hamzas and Chaplin's more as an example of senior pros. Don't particularly like him but he puts a shift in and will be decent in league One.
