Really expected him to go to a mid table / bottom half Championsip side, definitely not league one

Think a number of Championship club were in for him, only thing I think is he feel more likely to get minutes here.

Out of interest who are all these young lads we should be buying now to give us this future sell on price against them, instead of the 27yr olds we have brought in so far....ooh & how much should we buy them for now given Brighton paid 10m for this Watson when he was 18yrs old?

After the dross I saw last season and the season before I am happy to give anybody a shot. This guy is young and has everything to play for and will not be costing the earth, unlike the bandits we are getting rid of who stole a good living off our club and gave nothing in return.

I am looking forward to the next season and hopefully seeing a new, fit, enthusiastic and determined outfit on display who will drive forward rather than resorting to clueless tippy tappy because nobody was interested in taking responsibility to mount an attack.

I have followed City for 70 years and have never felt so bored in all the time I have been watching them, and in that time I have known some poor displays but that lot literally took the biscuit and have ruined our club.

I say good luck to the lad, go out and give it your all.

What particular irked me was the disdain they had not just for the club but for the supporters as well - people who earn a fraction compared to them, working long hours to keep themselves and their families, turn out in all weathers and they literally treat these people like something nasty off their shoe. Good riddance to the lot of them.

Watson is a really promising signing, think he’ll do brilliantly for us this season and stand out in the same way JJ did last season. 
 

He’s speedy and direct, so will be just what Martin is after. Played well for Sunderland and scored the winner for them in the playoff final.!

Honestly if we'd had a sprinkling of these signings last year and even including Cullen who you'd think would put in a shift ahead of the likes of Ayew I don't think we'd be league one. The mind boggles why we didn't take this approach last season.

And players from Brighton will have had a lot of DD done on them.

A striker (on top of Cullen!) and replace any CB that leaves and we looking quite strong

If you think about we do make a lot of sense for a loan. Especially with Martin. 
 

-the lad has never had consistent minutes, he should be getting that in league 1 

-a lower championship team will not play football the same way as Brighton 

-manager who has history developing young talent 

-a team expected to be favourites is a place to thrive as an attacker 


If I was a loan manager at Brighton I’d much prefer us to a club in the championship playing the wrong way and no guarantee of minutes

Mavs main issue (aside from the obvious) has been **** all competition since he signed. 

 

He's well aware he could have a stroll round every couple of games and know there's no one there to take his place.

 

And funnily enough when he's had his best spells of form we've run him into the ground and killed off any momentum he had.

Alves is not and will never be a winger in my opinion. I want to see Alves in an attacking midfield role.
