Watching that on DVDs as a kid I was convinced the commentary was added in after because it sounds so strange.

Think watching it back now he just didn't expect it to go in.

I was at wembley, only time I remember time standing still after claridge hit it then 40,000 city fans going mental.

It was disbelief, I think.

Time really did seem to stand still.

Then it went batshit bonkers and I ended up quite a distance from where I'd been before Claridge hit it.  lol

A great day.

Last minute winner and behind the goal when it went in. Probably the greatest moment in an City game ever.

30 years today:

IMG_0503.jpeg

I can still remember walking up Wembley Way.

I can still remember ripping up the newspaper to use as confetti.

I can still remember Super Stevie Claridge reverberating around the concourse before the match.

I can still remember spotting people I knew from school.

I can still remember the slightly obstructed view from behind the stanchion.

I can still remember the blue and while balloons.

I can still remember the people sitting around me.

I can still remember time standing still as that ball was in the air.

I can still remember the ****ing ROAR when it went in.

I can still remember getting home to watch the whole thing again on VHS recorded off the telly.
I can still remember every line of commentary.

Easily, one of the greatest days of my childhood and as a Leicester City fan.

30 years ago but I remember it clearer and everything about the whole day more than any match in the last 5 years.

My Dad was having an altercation with a bloke in front about his massive flag obstructing his view. A frank exchange of opinions at various stages which I dismissed as nerves and tension.

During the goal celebration he was hugging and jumping up and down with flag bloke. Best mates by the end :D

Now they're winning European trophies and we're in League One staring into oblivion with half our fans cheering on our wanton destruction.

I’d take Neil Lennon in a heartbeat as gaffer - did so well with Dunfermline this year and he is a proper double hard b”stard

I drove a little crappy Citroen hatchback old banger thing that leaned to one side. Had streamer ribbons and all sorts on it. Got us there and back though. :D

I asked the woman next to me who scored and she said “we did”😁

She was setting the foundations for future happy clappers to come.

The best performance from a defensive midfielder that day stopping every Palace counter as we pushed for an equalizer. Lennon was at Kante level.

Thing I remember clearest about this day is my cousin tapping his city flag against the door where the tube driver sits. All of a sudden the tube comes to a complete stop in a pitch black tunnel and the enraged driver flies out going mental lol

He must have been having a seriously bad day because he got off at the next station and walked off

Great times
