Its the same as the shit games we saw under Maresca. The lack of width from fullbacks on the overlap requires the wingers to have to win their duels. Rashford has tried but largely been 2nd best and Saka has barely attempted a take on. There's no inside runs from Bellingham or Rogers to play off either. Largely piss.

Other than Kane, who generally is a world level player? Even then for England he doesn't seem to perform when it matters. Bellingham steps up sometimes and Rice is a good player but he doesn't have the x factor that will lead a team to victory in big games like the other big nations have.

You aren't looking at it logistically. North America & Mexico is humongous, winning the group sees us bouncing all over the place playing in altitude, heat, humidity. Even if we were to make the Final after that gauntlet France or whoever will absolutely pick us to pieces ala. Croatia in the 2018 final who were also knackered. 

 

Finishing 2nd is the best route. Yes we have to play big nations but you need to do that if you intend to win a World Cup. If this holds were Toronto and then all USA and air conditioned stadia.
