but I can say it was a FIFA requirement they all pitches were grass for the World Cup.

It's not important to the yanks. All it is for them is MONEY.

And that's the way it's been for at least the last 2 WC.

This time it feels commercialism and revenue and POTAS image, is more paramount than the games and the event itself.
