The one hope I’ve maintained with Martin is that it gets better with time. At Southampton he took a good 10-15 games before they kicked into gear.

im not saying that’s happened and simply our squad naturally should be too good against some of these sides. But you’ve got to hope don’t you?

3 wins on the bounce and he’ll at least earn a bit of time for me. We’re not in a place to be sacking quickly but likewise we can’t afford to stay in this division.

Beat the league leaders.

Makes me wonder if we revert to 4 at the back against the “better” teams in the league or if we stick with this throughout the rest of the season

100%

Bromley had 8 points before today's game. At 7.45pm, eight teams (a third of the league) were within 3 points of that.

Better late than never and credit for actually dropping the tippy tappy crap for a sensible pragmatic approach but any competent manager would have had us higher than we are doing just this. But, again, better late than never.

We’ve been dreadful.

The sign of a good manager is recognising and acknowledging when something isn’t working and changing it.

If he’s doing that, then it’s a move in the right direction. Long way to go, however tonight was better.
