So annoying that our idiots let Challinor slip through their fingers in favour of Martin. Not convinced Rob Edwards would be much better. Anyone else a viable alternative?

Carlos Carvahal

Ralph Hassenhutl

Gerhard Struber
Ryan Mason
Paul Heckingbottom

Valerian Ismael

I would add Cuesta and Vicens as possibilities but less likely.

Delusional, especially defensively if he sees that and thinks we’ll be fine we are finished and tbh shows simply has no idea how to improve the issues!! Piss poor management

His arrogance in his post match RL interview was staggering.

Quote from Martin yesterday

"A couple of young guys [were] a bit naive in their decision making at that point, but that’s part of their growth and learning. We have enough men in the box to really deal with it still"

What a load of bollocks, first goal is a mistake from grandad McCarthy and 2nd is after 'young' Alves and Doyle are replace by experienced pros Burns and Chaplin.

Cross is from Thomas's side and did not close down the cross as usual. Thomas is not a young guy either with almost 150 first team appearances.

He's just not a very good defender, that you continue to pick every game.

Any chance McKenna  is ready to come back into management after his break?

More than likely.
Zero chance he comes to us in league one. Same as Edwards. He’ll get a job in the championship.
Could see Palace getting him if they get rid of Sage.

What a shame.

No chance McKenna, Edwards, or Corberan drop down to league one.

There must be somebody better than Martin with an upward rather than downward career?

I’m sure there is but with where we are now you are taking a chance on someone with little to no managerial experience or the complete opposite. An experienced manager who would get you up at the first attempt.
My preference would be experience like a Hassenhutl or Carvahal. It’s just whether either would come.
Failing that going for an assistant with no managerial experience like a Paddy McCarthy would be another I’d look at.
Cuesta at Arsenal  and Vicens at Man City  would be others I’d assume they’d look at because of where they’ve been and the hope they’d get another Enzo.
Both readily available.
I don’t see Martin going anytime soon because of where we are currently.
Which is completely wrong but not surprising with these clowns.

You never know until you try

I mean Russell Martin is operating well below his actual level . . . . .

10th position is hardly grounds to keep persisting with Martin. We aren’t challenging the top 2 and are 3 points adrift of Reading who have a superior goal difference.

Completely agree.
But these prats will think that given more time we’ll climb up the table.
As I stated earlier 8th wasn’t good enough for Sheffield Wednesday but it seems 10th is acceptable for these idiots.
The sooner we have new owners the better.

We have wins over Wigan, Bromley and Doncaster (all in or close to the drop zone). The other 2 wins were Stockport and Plymouth.

What chance do we have against Huddersfield and Bradford? The former are certainly flying at the moment  and I'm struggling to imagine a close game, let alone a win.

Promotion form is miles away with very minimal improvement as the season has progressed.

The fraud is going to get exposed soon enough, beaten at Huddersfield he’ll explain away, not winning at Blackpool less so. Turgid home performance against Mansfield, and then Cambridge beating us will do the trick. Andy King then taught a footballing lesson by Challinor while our ****ing stupid board dick about over appointing Liam Manning.

Heard that and sadly, it's to type. He's repeatedly called out issues with our team being too young or the younger players being the problem, when the reality is the polar opposite

He's no gonna be sacked that soon lets be honest. He'll cling on through to february once it's too late for a change to make a difference.

I agree with most of that, but in this era of one up front can’t two centre halves handle the striker/box and the left centre back get out and close down quickly? We know Thomas’s shortcomings but after getting up and down a full pitch for 70 odd minutes he may be forgiven for not always being at left back. O’Hora should have dealt with it.

The young guys were the main contributors to both goals in scoring and assisting/ crossing for the keeper to party so, even if they were naive, they still did more to get us ahead twice.

Last 3 home games against either incredibly poor or distinctly average opposition we have conceded a combined XG of almost 3.6.

Its totally unacceptable.

Why the hell is he still here?

It just highlights the sheer incompetence of our boardroom, convincing themselves hiring a serial failure would work, over a manager who never finished outside of the playoffs anywhere he’s been, a man who’s celebrated for his ability to get the best out of what he has, and set teams up to play to the best of their ability…..

He would have been a calculated risk, not Martin, he’s the final nail in the coffin of a long string of shocking decisions.

I think because Top has completely lost interest in the club & wants out asap. The last thing he wants to deal with is the hassle of sacking him & finding a replacement, not to mention that he certainly does not want to pay him off.

Nothing will change until KP, Top & Rudkin are gone & that day cannot come soon enough

Well actually, you’ll still play every game

Quite astonishing the other week when he praised Thomas. We’ve got a deluded manager who would charm the knickers off a nun

The board are clueless I don’t see us finishing above any of the teams above us, no chance we make the playoffs let alone automatic promotion with Martin in charge.
