I think because Top has completely lost interest in the club & wants out asap. The last thing he wants to deal with is the hassle of sacking him & finding a replacement, not to mention that he certainly does not want to pay him off.

Nothing will change until KP, Top & Rudkin are gone & that day cannot come soon enough

This is a good point. Could very well be the case.

Don’t give the club any ideas FFS. They’re desperate to complete the 9-0 set.

I agree with most of that, but in this era of one up front can’t two centre halves handle the striker/box and the left centre back get out and close down quickly? We know Thomas’s shortcomings but after getting up and down a full pitch for 70 odd minutes he may be forgiven for not always being at left back. O’Hora should have dealt with it.

Okoli could also have help close down the cross, but I wasn't really having ago at Thomas, it was more Martin calling out young guys when it's clearly not their fault.

Said it in this thread the other week, I expect a similar pattern to what we saw under Cifuentes.

We got to November-December time last season, ideally we knew Cifuentes wasn’t the man for the job, but he kept clinging onto his job, because we put a few wins and draws together that got us flirting with the play-offs, only to slide away again with a few back-to-back losses. It’s exactly the same with Martin with the inconsistency, he won’t be sacked if we keep in touching distance with the play-offs, we may even enter them at one stage, but it would be no surprise to see us slip again to mid-table.

What’s frustrated me recently hasn’t necessarily been the formation change, but more to do with the personnel he keeps picking. Some fans may not agree, but since this formation change, I’ve been quite encouraged from an attacking point of view with what we’ve seen in some games, defensively will more than likely continue to be a problem when it comes to a Russell Martin team.

In terms of team selection, he isn’t helping the team and he isn’t helping himself. In his mind, he seems to think just because the likes of Okoli, Burns, Chaplin and BDCR have more experience in English football, then they must be better options than Kangasniemi, Howell, Watson and Bristric, which evidently is a load of bollocks.

The spell of league games from Bradford to Reading are going to be crucial for his survival, but it wouldn’t surprise me if we remain inconsistent throughout those games, to the point where he’ll continue to cling onto his job.

Don’t do your job you don’t play.

Well actually, you’ll still play every game

Maybe he should live by his own mantra and fVck off

Rather have Mick George, the guy who owns the skip hire business. At least he knows rubbish when he sees it and will get it in the bin.

I've held this POV for at least 2 years, probably since the season after the loss of his dad. He doesn't have the football intelligence to be an owner of any football club. He likely means well but he's way out of his depth and that may be why he has set us adrift.

If you really don't understand something and can't/won't learn, or get lost in the way things work, you lose interest and give up trying.

I think he never expected to inherit our club. Sadly he did and he was entirely unprepared for it. He's likely tried his best after his father passed but unfortunately for us, he's not the man for the job. He seems to lack any power in the boardroom and I can imagine him getting steamrollered by the likes of Rudkin.

Only one bottom half club in the next six games (Blackpool), so it could unravel quite quickly. We've had quite an easy start to the season.

Christ I checked this. So not only is it 5 wins in 13 League One games, but 13 League One games of which 8 of them were against bottom half sides.

This bloke is a fake.

We have wins over Wigan, Bromley and Doncaster (all in or close to the drop zone). The other 2 wins were Stockport and Plymouth.

What chance do we have against Huddersfield and Bradford? The former are certainly flying at the moment  and I'm struggling to imagine a close game, let alone a win.

Promotion form is miles away with very minimal improvement as the season has progressed.

The fact we did beat Stockport and Plymouth, and Huddersfield being off the back of the break makes me think it'll be a leveller and we might get a result. Invariably though we'll go and bungle it against someone like Mansfield. They tick the box of it potentially being their away day of a lifetime after all.

Has the Charlatan been sacked yet ??

No wonder Top is staying away from the club he doesn’t give a schitt anymore, let’s hope this means we’ve found a quality buyer and he’s given up coming to the KP !

I think the mistake was going for another manager called Marti. Rarely works.

First Marti Cifuentes and now Marti Nout

Remember when we persisted with Rodgers and Villa went and got Emery

Rodgers did a superb job for 2 or 3 years. I really get annoyed listening to people pretend he didn't.

His final period was a shambles of his own making though, so I'd agree we should have parted when it was clear we couldn't match his ambition and he lost interest and effectively dared us to sack him with increasingly ridiculous decisions.

Well so far after 15 out and 15 in there's  going to be many trials and tribulations. What  is clear is we have a balanced squad but overall a lack of pace throughout  the team. Defensively  we always concede. Going forward we seem to create but lack that burst of pace that lets us make the openings happen. We are not far away thou6.

The writing is on the wall.

This man overcomplicates the game of football to rub his ego. The negligence in the boardroom will see us hovering above the relegation zone come the end of the season, maybe even slipping into it. Serial winner Dave Challinor snapped up by Sheff Wed and yet were stuck with an idiot. I don't know how any Leicester fan can be optimistic with this football, even when we win games it's due to the opposition not taking clear cut chances to win, aside from Bromley who are the worst side I've ever seen us play against.
