Although there are currently clusters of players from the same agencies (i.e. 6 from THE-TEAM (Wasserman rebranded), 4 from Unique Sports Group and 3 from CAA

Thanks for this

can you tell us which players are with which agency?

I can't think of a club of our stature that has recruited as poorly as we have over the last 5 years

Me Too, Every season we start with a worse squad than we had the season before. Pretty sure it will be the same come August

The biggest concern for me is the complete lack of due diligence we undertake on players character or personality, we have made so many mistakes in these last few years, there are so many examples of signing players with a soft underbelly or bad apples. To go from being one of the best to arguably the laziest and worst in such a short space of time is absolutely criminal and yet people still stay in role or earn a promotion off the back of it.

One thing is the individual's character and mentality, another is the squad's. The latter can be reinforced or undermined by the manager, staff, the culture at the club, the fans.
A player like Jordan James was a great recruitment. Hermansen and Fatawu were excellent buys. BDCR, as limited as he is, shows the right attitude most of the time. I'm not convinced that the players we've brought in have had a poor mentality, but for whatever reason they've been sucked into the mire as well.

To me, this stinks of a culture within the club that drags people down. The body language of several of our players (Ayew, Ricardo, Fatawu, Winks et al) was off for most of last season and the one before.

I wasn't able to quickly find any reliable info about the staff, but Transfermarkt seem to think we have a few scouts employed. No idea how reliable or up-to-date this info is.

It is out of date, but some staff remain, but have different titles now.

It's unforgivable to me that Rudkin can be at the club during the 2013-2019 time and think that going through agents is the way to go in 2026. Like how?

It's very simple, Corruption trives and hides behind closed Doors which is detrimental to Clubs. Ring any Bells ?

Recruitment Coaches are only interested in finding better Players.

The more time goes on the more I think it is a bit murky.

i actually think there's a disconnect between manager and player acquisition.  It feels like the scouts and deal makers have a strategy to stick to and actually, the manager has very little input into the individuals that get signed.  Sure, they might have some big picture input, but I don't think they are an active participant in signing players.

Maybe it's the same at other clubs - I'll admit I don't pay particular close attention to everybody else's signings, but I can't get my head around just how many players we sign who don't play more than a handful of games for the club and end up as unused substitutes.  Surely if we were signing players that the manager actively wanted, they'd play?

Agent driven recruitment has certainly intensified over the past few seasons, it was clearly evident with how many players that were already at the club, were signed by the club or linked to the club that were under Wasserman agency. In recent years Unique Sports Group and CAA have come more into play, around the time Winks signed, we were often linked with players associated with CAA.

The key deal for me though, where you could easily sense agent driven recruitment, was when we signed Okoli. He was under the same agency as Steve Cooper at the time, it instantly felt dodgy to me.

Then again last season when we signed James and Ramsey who were under the same agency as Cifuentes.

Not sure what agency Russell Martin is under, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see similar patterns emerge this summer, especially when it comes to the three agencies mentioned.

If we want to sum up the new structure we have allowed a man in Rudkin who's only "success" was because of the great work of others, to stay and hope the great work of others retrieves a slight bit of his genuinely laughable reputation.

If he ever had any, and I genuinely mean any skills required for the job he has then we wouldn't be in this position. There are people on here that could do a better job than this dull personality P.E Teacher.

The single most destructive man in the history of our football club, surpassing Peter Taylor, and the fact he's still here is indicative of a fanbase I struggle to identify with.

All of those hopeless signings are 15% our fault apparently.

Sorry.  Still can't get over that thread.

It's because everyone here is soooooo toxic. Doing horrible things like calling people KPFC, which is apparently a terrible vicious insult because it implies they aren't real fans of the club just because they "support differently", and they are poor, delicate match  going fans who are being verbally abused for attending games and being labelled as part of the problem, truly the worst suffering anyone could endure. These gentle souls would never stoop to such a level, which is why they had to have a thread where they errr ... blamed a subset of match going fans and labelled them as part of the problem, then stated that people who don't support the team the same way they do aren't real fans of the club.

Seems that a lack of awareness of what is going on at the club and on the pitch pairs nicely with a lack of self awareness too lol

In fact, when was the last time we had a squad better than the season before?

2018/19 probably.

Rudkin just can't get the toxic boo boys out of his head when he's working in his office at Seagrave structuring these deals! We need to be more positive on the internet (which he won't be reading)!
