By the sounds of it, if a strike happens within 8 miles the game gets delayed by 30-mins… then if during that countdown, another strike hits it gets reset. Could be hours to complete the game! Anyway from what I saw it’s more likely going to just be heavy rain, and no thunderstorms but who knows what’s going on

Can argentina meet france before the final?  If they can't can anyone else see anything other than a France v Argentina final?

They can only meet in the final now.

Most reports suggesting it’s back to the original 1am slot.

Yes apparently both teams refused to change the time .

Colombia seem to be a team playing well and potentially a threat for Argentina.

And credit to Cape Verde .

Been an outstanding under dog team .

Also on the England Vs Mexico at the Azteca I saw this Graphic that puts its a bit more in context!

Mexicos form should bother England more than the altitude and feared reputation.

Yes but look at the opponents. They have basically hardly played anyone decent. Mexico, like most of the sides in this world cup, are frankly bang average. England should win and if they can't beat Mexico then they don't deserve to win the world cup. England have better players in every position. I'm not saying it will be easy but I'd be disappointed if England don't win.

Mexicans know where the team hotel is now anyway, so England players aren't gonna get a wink of sleep before the game

Apparently they bought soundproofing stuff and sleep aids. They're prepared and I can imagine they'll be top floor.

On one hand I sort of appreciate the trolling but also think tight on the other guests

With all of the pre-match stuff going on - noises keeping players awake at night, security risks, possible spying, bad weather forecast and high altitude issues, it's like England are already rehearsing their excuses. Earthquakes seem to be the only thing missing from the list. Mexico has them regularly.

More like Mexico and some Media are trying everything to ruffle our feathers, Can't see this effecting the players to much though and think Kane will take us through to the next round he's bang in form.

Perhaps I've been living under a rock, but surely four people dying in a host city due to crushes with games due to continue there should be a far, far bigger deal? :dunno:

Allegedly that is the true reason they wanted to move the kick off to earlier in the day, not the weather. Will be easier to police fans and keep people safe if it kicks off at lunch, than at night after a day of drinking…

So Mexico fans giving it the large one when England arrived at the hotel. Very loudly booing, chanting Mexico, ect. They’ve promised to play loud speakers throughout the night, drums, ect - anything they can think of to disrupt their night sleep. Also, out of an 87,000 seater stadium officially we will only have 3,000 fans there.. plus the game being played at altitude… this is the Azteca ‘ myth’ that everyone is referring to..

Fireworks aswell, it's ridiculous. Hotel staff should've been well vetted

Excited for out match today against Morocco. Nothing to lose really. Just hope we play well and giv'em a game and this will have been a successful Cup for us Canuckleheads!

That touch from messi for the 1st goal, he has to stretch for it but still kills it dead.  Reminds me of the control maradona had.

Are you saying there's some sort of comparison between the two?

Food poisoning? All it takes is a dodgy taco for the Montezuma's.

Our tournament was a success with getting a win. Everything else has been an absolute bonus. No pressure on the lads today, just go out have fun and hope it all works out.

With all the disadvantages we appear to have, it has made me more up for it in a way I've not been with international football for a while.

Inevitably will make the defeat hit harder but its exciting. Its a shame its not on a bit earlier in the evening.

Phonz, once again is on the bench to start.

Interesting that Sigur gets the nod in the midfield.

Bombito and De Foooog paired at the back

Let's go lads!
