It's actually quite laughable how shit we are in the big games during the latter stages of big tournaments.

England are the Spurs of world football.

There's a house just down the road from me with Argentinian flags all over the place. After we won this, I had planned to go take a sh*t on their driveway.

I suppose I could still do that, but it just won't be the same.

I've been his biggest praiser this tournament but he's undone all of it today.

I'd argue that negative tactics he's done there is worse than Southgate ever did. Far too early and invited pressure non stop for the last 15 mins. Absolutely mind blowing how Kane was on the pitch. Honestly if he went I wouldn't be disappointed for that management display there.

At least Southgate was consistently negative.

In all seriousness Tuchel is a far better manager than bloody Southgate

I’m torn on whether it would be harsh if Tuchel was sacked after this?

We’ve looked resolute and we’ve been quite clinical, but we’ve also looked really average for large spells of games, often unable to break teams down with any sort of creativity.
Tuchel has been phenomenal as an in game coach and he’s made some bold decisions like playing Spence who’s been fantastic, but then today he encouraged decisions that ultimately led to our collapse, and this result is obviously lands at the players doors, but Tuchel played a huge role in it also.

Quite a few times this tournament we spent a long time either hopelessly defending our own box and refusing to press out, or aimlessly passing sideways trying to break teams down.

I like Tuchel personally but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s gone in the coming days. Is it too much to ask to see some heavy metal football?

He was brought in to improve us at these stages, he hasn’t done that.

He’ll walk.

He won’t be shy about claiming that wasn’t his call and the players sat back so he had to respond to that by bringing on more defenders

I wonder. It will be interesting to see what he says.

Corrupt?  Simply a better team against us. I didn't see any evidence of corruption or cheating. Argies used physical and dodgy spoiling tactics. That's all.

Speaking as a whole.

That's on Tuchel. Absolutely horrendous. You bring in a manager to avoid situations like that and he's gone and completely bricked it, and for what?

Parking the bus on the hour when there's a risk of extra time. Absolutely ridiculous.

And Harry is our captain.

50 minutes of attack vs defence training drill, so ****ing thick

We could all see it. Played right into Argentina hands. Lack of bravery and nous. Unfortunately Argentina deserved it despite being so unlikeable.

Another heart wrenching defeat to add to the collection

Germany sf world cup 90 lost on penalties

Germany sf euros 96 lost on penalties

Italy euros final 2021 lost on penalties

Spain euros final lost in the last few minutes of extra time

Argentina world cup sf lost in last few minutes after leading.

We rolled over for them like we always do

And thats why we will never win the world cup

We too easily accept defeat and see semi finals as achievements. Countries like Argentina dont accept defeat and see semi finals as failure

Worst thing in a day was winning it in 66.

Silly to say but it's like an anchor around them.

These players, player v player should be the best in the World.

They now even have a " Great" manager who couldn't get them over the line.

Mentality?

Because or players havent got that mentality ..

I doubt we will find it either no matter who the manager is

I think he’s been lucky and realistically the best team we’ve played until this point is Mexico.

With our ability we should outperform

most teams in the world, other than maybe France and Spain currently.

We just haven’t looked like it.

We have relied on individual brilliance and we still play at times like a group of individuals, rather than a team.

I’ve not been this ****ed off about an exit for a long long time, complete and utter surrender, we had them right were we wanted them then Tuchel shit the bed when we went 1 - 0 up.
