An absolutely disgusting display of cowardice AGAIN.  Scoring a goal and getting the lead was literally the worst thing that happened to us in that game.  We completely stopped playing.  We had no interest in the ball.  

 

At least if we went for it, we'd have been in a position to take it to Argentina if they scored.  Instead we were a dead duck.  

 

As others have said on here, until England get ride of the "hang on to a lead mentality" we will never win **** all.  Look at Spain yesterday...they never stopped.

Croatia 2018 - 1-0 up and dominant, sit back and lose 2-1

 

Italy 2021 - 1-0 up at home and dominant, sit back and lose on penalties, should have really lost in normal time 

 

France 2022 - Actually played decent in this one and unlucky to lose

 

Spain 2024 - played completely into Spains hand and could have easily lost 3/4-0

 

Argentina 2026 - 1-0 and pretty comfortable, sit back and lose 2-1

 

Honestly think in 20 years time we’ll be sitting back and tearing our heads out about this era
