Is it a race? Rangers could have had him ages ago if they wanted. More like a slow reluctant walk, hoping something better becomes available.

Sums up his form the past 2 seasons

I do think that there will be a "we can fix him" attitude from a lot of club but not for £7m.

If we can get north of £3m then I think we'd accept it.

I think we have to make this deal quick though because a year of him stinking the place out in League 1 and we'll be lumbered with him until 2028.

£7mill is fxxk all though if Boro think he could be a key player in a promotion campaign.  And they'll look to his promo season with us and bypass the shit in the interim.

Could Riley Carr replace mavididi?

Carr plays on the right - you could move Alves across to the left. However, I still think Carr would benefit from a season on loan.

there was a moment under Enzo, when he and Abdul were truly electric and it was away at Birmingham City and I thought we had our wingers sorted for years to come.

How things changed!!

Was at that match, and you are correct.

So long left in this window and I think by the time we get to the end of it we will have cleared 90% of the players from last season - SM will want a move and he needs a move so hopefully he lifts a leg for the next 10 days and we get a decent fee - biggest worry is despite his inept performances he does have pace and we are so lacking it …..

I think Alves would be better on the left where he has played more often

Done alright at right wing but I still think he feels a bit shoe-horned there

Perfect for us and him if this happens. Mavididi doesn't want to be here and has been shocking for the last 2 seasons, and we've got plenty of cover with Alves and Woyo able to play on the LW, alongside Watson.

Every transfer deal is usually listed as a "race" in the press, whereas in fact, it's a "dawdle".

When he does go, I'll always remember the goal and celebration by him v Birmingham away I think.

That's one of my favourite memories of that whole season. Such a shame he's beyond doggo now.

Think this is what will happen, reckon we replace Mavididi with a left footed right winger so we have an inside and outside winger on both sides

Rangers are probably no longer interested, they signed Drioeuch, a right footed left winger from PSV this week, for £6.5m, I doubt if they want another!. It's Boro or nobody!

Yep, just get him gone.

Obviously I don't know him personally but his whole demeanor has been shockingly bad, mirroring his form, if you'd call it that, for the past couple of years.

I've said it time and time again but I just don't think he likes football. Which must be difficult when it's all you know how to do lol

Another very minor point, I live in an area where 3 or 4 Forest lads live and a few Leicester too. One of which is Mavididi. I've lost count of the amount of times i've bumped into the Forest lads at the shops or grabbing a coffee, on multiple occasions too. I've never once seen Mavididi.

His whole on pitch attitude and presence just screams recluse, very much a reluctant talent I think.
