Derby's two title wins were barely seen on TV.....whereas, in contrast, Coventry's 1987 cup win was a huge story at the time

 

 

Agreed but you have seen what success and profile has done to us. I think we sold 10k season tickets in 2008 and now it is 23k.

 

Winning two of those three FA Cup Finals plus a European run would have improved us hugely and we wouldn't have the blind love for Aiyawatt too.

I'd imagine they pull in alot from most of Derbyshire !

North-East Derbyshire generally leans towards Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday. North-west Derbyshire you're actually getting very close to Manchester. 

 

It's not like Leicestershire where the city is in the middle of the county. Most people in north Derbyshire have nothing to do with Derby as a city.

This is a fair shout. Nottingham is 15 miles one way, almost no one lives the other way until you hit Stoke and if you head south-west you've got Burton pretty much immediately (not massively well supported, but still) and then you start you getting into the Birmingham satellite areas. As I've said previously, North-East Derbyshire is very much Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday and Chesterfield, whereas in North-West Derbyshire you're getting close to Manchester. You won't actually find that many Derby fans in Derbyshire North of Matlock. It's somewhat ironic that their name is Derby County. In many respects we're more of a county club than they are.

So any deal would include the women's side, OHL and us. 

 

£148m then - but includes ground, seagrave, Belvoir drive

I wonder what the brochure looks like? Something ran off the photocopier in Rudkins office perhaps?

I expect it will be amongst the magazines in my dentists waiting room in 4 or 5 years.

The positive thing in that is that they’re selling the lot (Leuven too etc). Puts to bed any talk of them looking for minority investors etc. 
 

King Power are scarpering and want as much as they can on their way. Get them gone!
