Dont think he calculated anything, just looked at what other clubs had been sold for or were on the market.

I guess Leeds and Bradford are the bigger cities with just one club?

 

Maybe our catchment area is better than Bradford’s though as West Yorkshire is heavily saturated with clubs. 
 

Problem is, it will win a lot of money to buy us, so who would want it?

Leuven fan here. Checked with some people who know more about this stuff than me this evening and this is not 'news'. KP has been actively open to selling both clubs for years, it's just the first time that someone from the intermediaries involved leaked it.

A brochure detailing the sale of Leicester City and all its assets has been sent to potential investors.

Global investment bank Citigroup has drafted the brochure, seen by The Athletic, titled Project Lineup, which details Leicester’s assets, including its women’s team, academy, King Power Stadium and the £100million Seagrave training base they moved to six years ago.

Belgian sister club OH Leuven is also featured in the list of assets available.

A source close to the process, speaking anonymously to protect relationships, has told The Athletic that the Srivaddhanaprabha family, Leicester’s owners, are looking for $300m (£222m) for the entire portfolio, but a deal is more likely to be done at closer to $200m (£148m) due to the club’s recent drop into League One — English football’s third tier — and heavy recent losses.

Over the last four accounting reports since 2021, Leicester have recorded losses of £92.5m, £89.7m, £19.4m and most recently £71.1m as the club has slipped from the top eight of the Premier League to suffer three relegations in the last four years.

 

Despite the club’s recent troubles, it is expected to attract interested parties because of extensive assets, which also include the Belvoir Drive training ground now used by the women’s team and the land the club acquired for £11.6m outside the King Power Stadium that was earmarked for development as part of a stadium expansion plan.

The plans were shelved after Leicester’s relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2022-23 season.

The property portfolio is valued at £204m, as of 2025, broken down into the stadium’s £74m valuation, Seagrave at £121m and Belvoir Drive at £9m.

To attract potential investors, Project Lineup details Leicester’s successes throughout its history but more importantly since the Srivaddhanaprabha family and parent company King Power International bought the club for around £35m from Milan Mandaric in 2010. This includes the 2016 Premier League title and the club’s first FA Cup triumph in 2021.

Leicester offered no comment on the distribution and contents of the brochure when approached by The Athletic.

The brochure emphasises that Leicester is one of only five clubs to have won all three major domestic trophies since 2000.

It adds that Leicester are “the most successful club in EFL history” and “the third largest English city with only one club … deeply embedded in Leicester’s fabric with a dynamic, broad-based and highly loyal fanbase.”

Leicester are said to be “well-positioned for promotion” and represent “a rare opportunity to acquire a club with an excellent track record of winning promotions to higher divisions.”

In the brochure, OH Leuven are described as “an established and synergistic collaboration with Leicester City. Multi-club ownership structure offers distinct advantages across talent development, recruitment and analytics.”

Leicester’s category one academy with a proven record for developing talent, and the graduates that have been sold for more than £250m over the last five years, is also detailed to entice interest.

It will be but I just hope that we all try and emphasise how much we want our history acknowledged again. King Power made it pretty clear that anything that pre dates them, and that doesn't have us worshipping what "they gave us" will never be acknowledged. 

 

I suppose we are always going to be resigned to having the Stadium named after a sponsor, but it would be great to have Filbert Way with statues of those who actually won us the League and Cup around the stadium.

 

Move Vichai to the memorial garden. He should always be remembered, but I can't help but feel it's more of a shadow hanging over us outside the ground rather than inspiring the fans or team.
