Not this again……….

For the final time, Chelsea had our pants down getting rid of a crap academy player, he’s not good enough nor will he ever be good enough to play senior football.

Close thread.

I was just thinking someone should start a thread on Michael Golding because we spent big money on him (5m's) and he seems to be nowhere near the first team

I was just thinking I hope someday he returns - perhaps in a coaching role?

What say you @Miquel The Work Geordie?

Anyone know what's going on with this guy. Big money spent on him and he seems to be nowhere near first team.

They didn't have our pants down. A figure was applied to a player movement to fit PSR needs. No more, no less. It was essentially a free transfer with the KDH fee being £4m less than advertised

He was a PSR fiddle because Aiyawatt was happy to accept that £25m for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall wasn't enough of a steal for Chelsea.

It was a PSR fix. We needed £30m on the books for KDH, Chelsea only wanted to pay £25m, so we put £5m profit on their books and they put £30m on ours. He might have become a player but clearly isn't up to it.

I think with PSR the way it is, across English football we will probably see more of these transfers where a big fee for a first team player is offset with an over inflated fee for a youth player in return
