Why?

Headphones are OK whilst travelling, but when arriving at stadiums.interest and inter team interaction is required to show unity to fans and also interaction and sppreciation of travelling fans.Players need to be seen to be buying into the project

I was speaking to an individual who works at Seagrave. He said there’s been a significant culture shift since the appointment of Martin. The bad apples have been removed and there’s a more positive vibe around the place.

One of the first things Martin introduced was the banning of phones in the players canteen (part of me can’t believe they were allowed in the first place). Players are forced to speak to each other. If a player is caught with a phone in the canteen, all the players have to do a lap.

Probably easier without Vardy going crying to Top any time he's told to do anything like that

Glad to hear but just hope it is sustained. It's a long time coming that the culture needed a shift and a change, glad we've been able to eventually see some signs of it. Shame it had to take a relegation to League One for it to take place.

Better late than never as they say.

My other half is vegan and she constantly clogs up the toilet by using so much toilet paper. I hope this isn't adding to the already astronomical running costs of Seagrave. I tend to order a 90-roll box off Amazon, if they want some money-saving tips.

I also lived with a lad from Sheffield who was very proud of using nigh on an entire roll on the most innocuous of wipe-and-go numbers.

Whisper it quietly, 90% of the posters on here wrote him off and hated the idea of him coming here

That's fantastic. I hope they are also wearing flip-flops to protect their feet. I was stupidly walking around barefoot and cut my left foot on a shard of glass last week, but now it's grown over with the glass inside, giving me some nagging pain.

Didn't Dean Smith do something about the entitled 'culture' at Seagrave too?

Iirc, it was telling the players to return their own plates and cutlery after their meals.

well to be fair, that’s a very tricky task for a young man earning thousands a week..

I think that was Rodgers?

For all our skepticism about Martin being appointed, I did think he may be a good man to change the culture. From his previous clubs, for all his faults and lack of a plan b, I don’t think you can accuse him of not trying to instil a positive vibe and culture. Perhaps it helps the bad eggs are finally being shifted, but nevertheless I’m willing to get behind him.

My mate works at Seagrave as a part time cleaner. Said Hamza gives him wedgies on the corridor, Nelson and Souttar fire balls at his backside after enforcing him to go bare and Russell Martin refers to him as Full Time Equivalent 0.5

Apparently the passing drills have improved though.

Speaking of a culture reset

It’s good to see a topic in this forum full of piss takes, with a few good laughs.  After two years and 1000s of the same infuriated posts … venting the frustration of seeing the most inexcusably mismanaged club in football burn itself to the ground, with nothing to lighten the mood.

A little bit of optimism and positive energy is still there to be tapped :jawdrop:

At this point I still expect the worst.  But I want to hope for something better -- without having to scold myself for being an idiot -- or being vilified by saddos from the self appointed Anti-Happy-Camper Police.

Souttar, Nelson, Mavididi, Bobby Reid, Skipp, Okoli would all absolutely jump at the chance to leave … we have work to do yet.

Thankfully there's not a single one of them i would stop, including Nelson.
