It's a near on impossible job for a bloke who is learning the English game. We needed someone who was proven in this league.

Hard to judge since our service to strikers is poor. It’s not like he’s missing sitters, he doesn’t even get the opportunity to shoot.

Yeah as has been said, we don't create chances for our strikers, still we will need someone else in for when Martin is sacked and we need to pick up points.

Didn’t get any service, played a couple of good balls in to others and made a good clearance after a Jakob error. At one point he collided with one of our own players both going for same ball. I saw him make some good runs off the ball that weren’t picked up and he looks keen. I’ve decided to stay optimistic about him but even Vardy took more than a season to shine.

His touch is absolutely appalling but he makes good runs, is up for it, and attacks the box. That last one could pay dividends if we can teach him the right time and if we keep playing wingers that want to run and get the ball into the box. Our best option ATM though I would agree I'd like to see another striker brought in.

Do you think that poor first touch is coachable? As otherwise he looks promising

Ffs he's play about 100 mins, some of that in a side with 10 men and another against a PL 2nd string.

 

Let give him a bloody chance.

Thought he showed some intelligent signs tonight, clever lay offs when dropping deep in to midfield a couple of times and was constantly finding space in the box, he couldn’t help others wanting to try their luck with weak shots from 19+ yards, he will take time to get going but he’s got a lot to learn and playing regularly will help him do this and we need to patient.

A big clue as to determining the level of his performances over the past two games is how disjointed we’ve looked when he came off.

 

He’s only been here just over a week and yet we look much better as a unit when he’s on the pitch because he’s actually leading the line.

 

He’s enthusiastic, you can see he runs hard and seems to be taking up decent positions; so hopefully squad connections grow across the rest of this week so that come Saturday, we can provide him with a couple of chances at least.

Watching his highlights he scored from three positions; through balls, cut backs and crosses. Can’t recall a single one

of those he’s been served up in his time with us. Feel like he’s got something about him but he needs opportunities before we can really judge him as a goal scorer.

I think that's going to be the big question. For a professional footballer it's not a great problem to have. 

But he's a better focal point that anybody else so let's hope so!

Just keep playing him. He is better than the alternative already and has scope for improvement which Reid doesn't. There is zero reason to play Reid at all.

Extremely extremely raw - but what did we really expect for a million quid - iv seen enough from some of his play to think he could do pretty well at this level - he did very well for the flick for burns goal on Saturday and he had some nice touches last night - also have to agree with above - he hasn’t had a single chance created for him yet either - runs his socks off as well - get another striker in to rotate with him and he will be more than fine

felt for him last night as Howell and Watson seemed to just want to shoot on site! Like the button game he made some really good runs without receiving the ball… liked what I’ve seen so far though and do feel if he carries on making those runs the goals will come
