Pretty much all of them are similar to Riis's age or actually older - and in my opinion you don't want to have two young very unproven strikers at your club when you are desperate for promotion Pepple is an interesting one. Quite a local lad, from Kettering and played for Oadby. Has played outside this country in his youth years. Probably a bit costly given that Plymouth already sold Tolaj.

Brizzle Fox Posted 31 August Posted 31 August For what it's.worth as when it suits we like to reference what the fans of linked players think, the general consensus about Riis down this neck of the woods, is surprise that he would.drop.to Division 1 as there is interest from Champs clubs, and mid-table Champs is probably his level. For the right money he could be good signing in Div 1 and certainly better than what we have now. However I suppose we have time and expertise in the market to unearth a gem in the last week of the window, as we're really good at that, so should probably dodge this one. 1

I follow Exeter as a second team because my wife’s family is from there and have seen him a couple of times live. First time I said we’ve got to buy him as the Vardy replacement we’ve been looking for. Hes aggressive, presses well, both footed to a certain level and can clearly finish. Not surprised we didn’t look at him but why is no one else? Loads of stuff from Reading and Exeter fans on twitter suggesting that he and especially his stepdad Daz are difficult characters 1

Some fans may not like it, but they need to wake up and get real. We’re unfortunately now a League 1 club, being linked to a striker who has shown he can be competent at a level above. 11
Popular Post Muzzy_no7 Posted 31 August Popular Post Posted 31 August Steve Howard’s 6 Championship years: 192 apps and 45 goals. Emil Riis’ 6 Championship years: 216 apps and 50 goals while being in comfortably worse teams. Given where we are in the window and how glaringly obvious it’s looked on the pitch having watched every minute of us this season…again providing this is a sensible loan or deal..I have no problem with this signing. 5

AjcW Posted 31 August Posted 31 August Been on holiday with my Bristol City mate this weekend. Had a kick about with him yesterday and said “we’ll be the ones who buy Riis now you’ve made him 4th choice” brilliant
Clever Fox Posted 31 August Posted 31 August He looks very much like what we need up top. Strong, Mobile can shoot and an eye for Goal.

It'sblueupnorth Posted 31 August Posted 31 August I’m hoping this is one of the transfers they leak on the last couple of days before the usual talks have broke down on deadline day to make it look like they were actually trying to sign players

ALC Fox Posted 31 August Posted 31 August I think this guy and a gamble on Matt Rush from Boreham Wood (25 years old and with 26 goals in 46 games last season and 9 goals in 5 games so far this season) would be a decent deadline day. Evans, Otchere, Hutchinson and King the long-term competition from the academy.
