We brought in 16 players and arguably not a single one has improved our starting XI/has been ready to compete at the top of league one.

Disaster is the right word.

Edit: forgot about Emil Riis.

Virtually anything is an improvement on the likes of Winks, Ayew, Vestergaard, Mavididi and Soumare.

Why do some fans hate Savage? Slightly too young to remember him

Pantomime villain.

Anyone who watched him knows he was an important part of our success in that era.

Allowed Izzet and Lennon to run the game.

I’m hoping by saying this will be an absolute disaster I will generate the exact opposite. However, looking at whatever lineup that is, it’s going to be an absolute disaster.

Savage was/is a wum. He wasn't particularly skilled, but he worked hard. He has long flowing blond hair, which I assume irked a few insecure men.

I was under the impression he's well-liked among our fans in general.
