How Was Your Day?

Dunno yet. Got the 'live or die' consultation on Thursday. Treatable if caught early enough apparently, but could, even at best, be facing a fairly big 'op' followed by anything from 15-33 weeks of 'chemotherapy'. Not gonna be work fit for a while.

Staying as positive as I can....Mrs is in bits but, I keep telling her it could be a lot worse. Look at young Bradley, he's not even had a life bless him. Alternatively, I could fall off a ladder or something and not even have time to say goodbye! Cancer's a little bastard yes, but it's there to be fought and hopefully beaten !

I just hope you come through fit and well again.

Arrived Back in the UK :scarf: after a 6 month work stint in Israel glad to be back to normality.

If anyone hasn't worked abroad I would recommend it, broadens your horizon so to speak.

I spent a couple of years working in Israel when I was younger.

Where were you based?

Well, today's been OK....Just taking stock of things! Yesterday was a blur, having been diagnosed with cancer last week.

We've been sorting through our next few weeks today, and you honestly couldn't make it up.

There's me gonna need to be spending some deal of time at the LRI,(20mls distant), over the next few weeks, the 'Mrs' facing a series of appointments, possibly an 'op' at Derby Nuffield for knee damage at the same time and the car needing an MOT before the beginning of May...Gonna be a busy period !

Good Luck

Been over in Thetford with the Forestry boys for a couple of days ...    was up and at em before 5 this morning and all we could hear were these bad boys flying very low overhead.  Its a US Airforce Osprey, and very impressive they looked too flying in close formation ....

How big were the thing that came out?

I didnt actually see what was removed, but i heard lot of things literally popping being removed. probably a life times worth of old wax and infection. took a little while.

I've had ear issues since i was very young. Had surgery on my right ear 3 times to remove a cholesteatoma as well as canal wall down surgery. I go to see my specialist every 6 to 12 months to have him clean out the wax deep in my ear. Suction is the least of my worries. Its the  long metal rods he shoves down my ear that are more scary. As he gently scrapes  wax from the anus of my ear i want to throttle him but he is the nicest specialist ever.

Having said that its nothing compared to what others  have to deal with on a daily basis.

Don't know what it is but have felt physically anxious (feeling tense, restless and more adrenaline-pumped than usual) for past few mornings. Got no major worries currently but struggling to rest in bed as well and also feel/look tired in the morning but mentally alert..

Has anyone else experienced this before and recommend anything in particular? Thanks.

Exercise and a couple of days off the booze.

Thanks bud ! No point being negative or you're on a downward path already. The day I was born, Doris Day's 'Que Sera Sera'  was number one in the charts and that's always how I've led my life!

Go on lad - you can smash this. We are all rooting for you.
