‘Romping’ to me is a bit like ‘frolicking’ in as much as it’s more flirting around rather than partaking in the act.

It would be fun romping around with TM but I’d much rather bonk her :D

Is it true what I'm hearing? That you've recorded a cover version of Sting's "Fields of Gold" with new lyrics as a tribute to Theresa?

The lyrics have been leaked to the Internet:

"Fields Of Wheat"
Writer(s): Gordon Sumner / Izzy Muzzett

As the west wind moves you'll race with me
Through the fields of wheat
You'll forget Boris and his deceipt
As we romp in fields of wheat

So she took her love for to gaze awhile
Upon the fields of wheat
In his arms she fell as her knickers came down
And they writhed beneath a sheet

Will you stay with me, will you be my love
Among the fields of wheat
We'll forget Barnier and Michael Gove
As we bonk in fields of wheat

See the west wind move like an opinion poll
Through the fields of wheat
Feel her body rise when you kiss her whole
mouth among the fields of wheat

I never made promises lightly
And there have been some that I've broken
But I swear that Cameron was worse
So we'll frolic in fields of wheat
Yes, we'll flirt in fields of wheat

Many years have passed since referendum days
Among the fields of wheat
See Izzy stand firm as all the voters run
Among the fields of wheat

I'll stand strong and stable, Theresa, when all else moves
Erect in the fields of wheat
You can read The Sun or Private Eye
When we romp in fields of wheat
When we bonk in fields of wheat
When we partake in the act in fields of wheat

A man seeking diversions to avoid getting on with stuff, certainly.

Recovering from my shoulder surgery yesterday. Feel a little groggy still and f'd. Got some oxycodone and tylenol 3 pills to help with pain. Feeling okay at the moment but definitely tired. Time for a nap

Had an emergency operation yesterday... Had swelling around my lower back. Really strange as I had mild pain last week and was able to get through it but at the weekend I couldn't lay down or sit, and struggled to walk, so I went A&E on Sunday and on Tuesday had the operation. Now have to have the wound re-dressed by the nurse every day and the first time being today. Oh it was painful re-dressing, more painful the the operation.

I love the NHS. Underpaid. Got chatting to a nurse and she works 12 hours. I get frustrated when I make a mistake at work but at least I'm not potentially affecting someone's life.

Glad you got it operated on so quickly mate. Our back's are complicated things so hopefully it's fixed and you get no recurrence of the problem.

Agree with you on the NHS and nursing staff. Absolute diamonds all the ones who've treated me over the years.

Rest up well

He lives there, I was wearing my lcfc thong and shopping in target in kissimmee, he noticed it and we had a good long chat.  He offered to take me and my family out etc for a meal, we declined as we didnt want to impose.  I've got his details but I dont think its right I hand them out.

My dad had his memory test at docs yesterday and it's fair to say went the predictable route after he was asked what year it was as an opening gambit the answer being “errm I think it’s 1980 isn’t it? No it’s 1918 I think”

another one being “what building are we in? (Doctors obvs) and dad answer was “well the school I think, I helped build the school years ago”. Umm didn’t know if to laugh or cry at that point.

When I was in hospital over Xmas there was an old boy in the bed opposite who had the same test. The young doctor who asked the questions was fantastic, non judgmental and hugely supportive and empathetic.

The old fella didn’t know what day, month or year it was either and it was clear he was really struggling. Good job both his and my curtains were closed as I was in tears. So sad...

I know what you mean about not knowing whether to laugh or cry. When my Dad was feeling tired during his decline, he'd sometimes mention his age: "I'm 275 years old, you know" (he was 90-91).

Dates and locations were an issue, too, as with your Dad. He once asked me if I remembered playing golf with him in the 1950s......well, I wasn't born until the 60s and have never played golf!

Not recognising his flat as his home was an everyday occurrence, but usually only in the evening when he got tired. That was partly because my parents had moved home only a couple of years earlier.

He'd start asking if we should go home or if we needed to go and get a train - and would sometimes do so multiple times, just a few minutes after I'd explained that he was in his home. He seemed to see it as a hotel or institution.

In a way, we were lucky that my Dad died before there were no "good moments". It never reached the stage where he didn't recognise close family, even if he sometimes got names and past histories confused.

And there were always times earlier in the day when you could have some sort of meaningful conversation with him. If there was anything important to discuss with him (medical or other visits, changes in care arrangements) I'd try to tackle it early in the day when he could cope with it. But I know that even those "good moments" can eventually be lost for some people. Old photos/memories can often help, as long-term memory lasts much better than recent memory in most cases - my Dad enjoyed seeing old photos, talking about memories and doing stuff that he'd always liked doing (nice food, watching rugby, listening to old records or news on the radio, sitting in the garden, looking at the paper while he still could - though that became impossible after a while). For a considerable time, there can still be meaningful, enjoyable or funny moments even in cruel times. Good luck.

Had a job interview today, felt really prepared.

Did research on the company, prepared for all sorts of questions. Normally I'm really good in interviews anyway, I'm lucky to be able to just say the right things

Today though, nah. Mind went blank, stumbled on questions, the lot.

I'm a big believer that everything happens for a reason, so maybe you were supposed to screw this interview up and not get the job because you're destined for something else instead.

Just my belief but it helps me get through each day :)
