Amusing News Stories

Imagine, a family where parents and children can hold different political views!  Its like some kind of free thinking utopia!  Actually now I think about it, didn't David also write to the head of his local council asking them to reconsider their cuts?

It's quite amusing really, reminds me of the abuse Tony Benn got for making his so called "pro-war" speech at the despatch box.

In the eyes of some it's immoral to inherit money from your parents but at the same time a disgrace if you don't inherit their political views.

http://mashable.com/2016/02/15/ice-haul-australia/#jSC5iN9TnPqg

"Australian police have seized what they believe is more than A$1 billion worth of methamphetamine, more commonly known in Australia as "ice" and elsewhere as "crystal meth." It has been discovered in huge shipments of silicon bra inserts"

A lot fewer people getting off their tits in Oz, then.  :D

That's surely the biggest ever drug bust?

Amusing stuff. :D

Might blow a bit of a hole in the student union budget, though. They might have to double entry prices at the nightclub to fund the statue....can't see students voting for that.

I might write to the Tory students suggesting that, after the "Angel of the North", they name their statue the "Devil of the South" and run profit-making tours between the 2 statues to fund this investment in high culture ("high", quite literally).

Text About Mama Giving Birth Goes To Wrong Number, Man Visits Hospital Anyway

You’d have to forgive friends of Lindsey and Mark Knox for texting a wrong number — Lindsey was in labor and people were excitedly messaging everyone they knew about the birth.

But the happy accident led to the couple’s welcoming of new friends into their lives, as well as a new baby.

The group text wound up on Dennis Williams’ phone — a man who’d never even met the Knoxes. When he told the sender they’d sent the message to a wrong number, all he got in reply was a picture of Lindsey holding newbornbaby Cason.

That’s when Dennis and his brother Deorick decided to join the fun.

“Well I don’t know y’all,” Dennis texted back, “but me and the boys will be thru to take picture with the baby.”

The brothers were true to their word, driving the 40 miles from their home in Tallahassee, Florida to the Georgiahospital in order to surprise the family.

They even brought along diapers, pacifiers, and bottles for baby Cason — and made sure they got a picture with the family.

“What a blessing these two guys were to our family,” the Knoxes posted to Facebook. “They were so sweet and kind to do this! You 2 are great guys and thank you for giving to someone you didn’t know!”
