Father Ted Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 people were getting thrown out for standing up? what part of the ground was this in? did L1 or k block stand up through the game? Some guy got kicked out virtually on the front row in G1 (I think) and he was fighting with the coppers.
JoeyB Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 I dont care as long as we fookin score and win! i couldnt care if we had YMCA or westlife to charlotte church, tbh. We have scored, we could win the game, just jump around and cheer or whatever, music is music at the end of the day
The Reverend Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Well I cannot do that anymore, you can say what you think people can do all you like but it's simply not true. I feel so awkward when it comes on now that I have no choice but to look at the pitch really. Why? I celebrate in the same fashion as i would without the goal music. Just pretend you cant hear it!
lildave3 Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 I dont care as long as we fookin score and win!i couldnt care if we had YMCA or westlife to charlotte church, tbh. We have scored, we could win the game, just jump around and cheer or whatever, music is music at the end of the day Westlife would be Tommeh's dream.
Simi Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Why?I celebrate in the same fashion as i would without the goal music. Just pretend you cant hear it! Belive me a I'd loved to, but I've got to a stage now where I find it painful to do anything when it's on. After celebrating away from home it's nowhere near compariable at home when Chelsea Dagger is played. Even MK DONS?!!? were mocking us when it was on yesterday!
Messi Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Well at least we can celebrate for as long as we like at away games and have to stop because others do when the music goes off
Tevez Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 It's good. I like Chelsea Dagger, more people sing along to it when it's on. I'm for it.
Asha Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 It's good. I like Chelsea Dagger, more people sing along to it when it's on. I'm for it.
purpleronnie Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 It's good. I like Chelsea Dagger, more people sing along to it when it's on. I'm for it. Don't you think it stops true atmosphere from the fans?
Corky Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Don't you think it stops true atmosphere from the fans? Yes I do. But as the Reverend says, you can celebrate how you want. You shouldn't be controlled by the music. When we scored yesterday I cheered and then clapped, I didn't dance along with the music.
fsdss Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Maybe we should be more worried about the lack of support when during open play!!! Maybe they`ll play music for a free kick or a corner!!!!
Joe. Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 It's true, the music is shocking. But lets face it, it looks to me as though the majority of the crowd love it so I can't see it disappearing anytime soon.
Mark Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 It's true, the music is shocking. But lets face it, it looks to me as though the majority of the crowd love it so I can't see it disappearing anytime soon. We loved scoring a goal, in a game, twice, without reply. It was the huge relief thats giving off that impression.
Ashley Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Why did we play "live and let die" before the game? as for Chelsea Dagger, i'm all for it.
hebangsthedrums Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Get rid of it. Pikey crap. At most we could play the PHG although not the wank techno or whatever version. As for the kids message and fair play handshake or whatever that is, just more rubbish that is moving the game further away from its natural state.
Jimmy Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 It's true, the music is shocking. But lets face it, it looks to me as though the majority of the crowd love it so I can't see it disappearing anytime soon. I doubt they do actually its probably just a case that they sing along with the music, if it wasn't there they'd just cheer as normal
Tommeh Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Maybe we should be more worried about the lack of support when during open play!!!Maybe they`ll play music for a free kick or a corner!!!! what a silly thing to say. The atmsophere yesterday was the best at the walkers in a long time especially in L1, I don't know how it appeared in other areas of the ground true but when was the last time a song (ring of fire) went on consistantly for 20 minutes. Apologies if you were on your arse in the exec seats or at the front of the kop but some people do create a very good atmosphere at home and idiots like you moaning really does my head in. Concerning the goal music - I just wish it would go away, was the only thing to me which marred yesterday. Celebrations away from home are in a different league.
Dagha_07 Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Scrap the music but if something has to be played then atleast kasabian-LSF, this way its different and has leicester origins.
J.Lisemore Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Chelsea Dagger is used at loads of grounds and to be honest im just sick of the song nowadays. Have you voted? yep
league1 Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 . we play chelsea dagger when we score at home and when it came on a few of us were bouncing up and down to it. Although i don't know if we are going to stop playing it now as some fans don't like music on when we score.
l444ry Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 Defenders arguments for keeping this crappy celebration music remind me of their arguments during the debate to rid pubs of fag smoke. "Oh Well!! It's here, so just go with the flow - if you don't like it just try to ignore it." Once fag smoke went, everyone could see the benefits. Same with this quaint early 21st century anomaly. It'll be like looking at old pictures of yourself wearing flares and tank tops people will say "Did I really do that? Oh, how embarrasing is that."
Raj Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 It's not about calling anyone names, I just want to see what the real split of opinion is. If yours differs from mine, so be it, unless you want them to play "Come on Eileen", in which case, you are a bigger twat than Raj!
iancognito Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 My email to Pete Jones Dear Peter,After all the excellent work you've put in with the flag and all the other bits and pieces, but there's something you can do to endear yourself to Leicester fans young and old. Please make the post-goal music stop. It's irritating and completely destroys the euphoria of scoring a goal. In fact, if you organised one of those card waving exercises like the City vs Fosse thing a few seasons back on a Yes or No basis, I'll bet 75% would say no to it. The other 25% are under 6. Regards It'll fall on deaf ears but hey, all I can do is vote in polls and complain to the man. On another note, how shit will the celebration music sound if they play it on Tuesday with half a stand full of people?
Raj Posted 10 August 2008 Posted 10 August 2008 My email to Peter Jones. Dear Peter How do i stop my itching anus? Also could we have naked girls dancing around the staidium when we score a goal? Also can i have someone make me some cheese toasties and bring them to my seat at half time? Also can i have heater for my feet when its winter. Did i ask you about my itching anus??? Thank you. Raj Twatto.
