(If what happened here is what looks like what happened here.)

Seriously, how do you reason with people whose ideology involves not only wanting you dead because of who you are, but taking pleasure in inflicting both that and physical and mental suffering beforehand? And how do you reason with those people when they are in number and highly motivated?

You can’t reason with sociopaths unfortunately.  Many will feel emboldened under this right wing government and probably see themselves as heroes in such situations.

Yes.

And that's why either they win, or there is a reckoning - for the people that act like this and the people like this administration who enable and embolden them.

Beyond the headlines I didn’t know a great deal about this psychopath.  Comprehensive documentary from the Storyville team.  His one regret was that maybe he could have killed a few more people!

So she served seven years in total.  Not really justice is it.

It's not, but there seems to be more scumbags then prison spaces currently so it'll be a recurring theme until the new one's get built sadly.

The prison release thing is happening for all crimes, the other day that infamous range rover killer was let out (or announced being let out) after 27yrs. Whilst its a long time he murdered 3 people, regardless of their backgrounds & his now age, should he be free to walk around even under licence?

More inept sentencing from our lawlords.

Seriously  this country is going downhill like lcfc.

I was listening to the story about the PC that has been sacked for inappropriate language whilst arresting an armed teenager.

It strikes me that the 'law' in general terms is at odds with what the general public actually wants. The calls on the subject today were fully in support of the officer with many conceeding that he deserved a warning over his language and nothing more.

I can't see that anyone will be satisfied with this sentence nor those being released early. If the law system loses public support then anarchy will follow.
